(this picture shows the Contrary in both states)
Up first is Contrary Polish Ch-Ch-Changes, a light to dark grey thermal! The colors in this polish are both really pretty, and the gold shimmer fancies it up nicely! The formula was a bit sheer, I did need 4 coats to build it up. Ch-Ch-Changes dries to a satin finish so you want a layer of topcoat if you prefer that glossy look. I am showing the warm/hot state of lighter grey in these pictures.
This is the cold state of Ch-Ch-Changes, a dark grey almost back shade. Very pretty!
I had a hard time capturing the change in a picture so here's the best I could do. You can see the slight difference in colors on my tips. You can also check out great pics from Sheila at Pointless Cafe to see the change!
Darling Diva Polish contributed a gorgeous red-pink shimmery holo called Redelicious. I see some sparkle and micro flakes in there too! The formula and application were both wonderful. I used 2 coats of Redelicious and finished with a layer of topcoat.
Black Cat Lacquer really brought their A-Game for this one! Wine & Dine is a burgundy jelly base full of gold holo glitters and micro glitters. Stunning colors and sparkle! I've never tried this brand before and I was definitely impressed. Wine & Dine reached full coverage in 2 coats. The formula was great and application was a breeze. I finished with a layer of topcoat.
This is Tubthumping from Girly Bits. I read this glitter bomb as a pink-gold, bronze polish. It's full of gold holo micro glitters and a pink shimmer. So pretty, so celebratory, so sparkly! Of course the formula was stellar, and it applied perfectly in about 2 - 2 1/2 coats. I noticed some nail line showing through so I dabbed a little extra on my tips. I finished with a layer of topcoat. PS - I get knocked down but I get up again, you are never gonna keep me down. You're welcome.
And last but not least is KBShimmer Bling Out Loud. Holy wowza! This is the darkest, bruisiest, blackest-purple I have ever seen. And then it's got a huge helping of scattered holo that makes it super blingtastic and OMG I just can't. The level of holo bling and vampiness of this polish literally slays me. Formula and application of Bling Out Loud were both as fabulous as the polish looks. 2 coats for full coverage and 2 coats of topcoat (it was a little thirsty).
