Hey guys! I am so thrilled to be doing a post for Jen! She is an amazing person who I was blessed to meet at Cosmoprof this year. Since then we have bonded over our love of nail polish and other adventures! Today I have a simple Christmas mani that I created using three polishes from Zoya Nail Polish (www.zoya.com) new matte collection. Check back on Jen's swatches to see the whole set! (link to your post). I ended up using Aspen, Honor, and Amal. Let's get to the look!
Step 1:
Prep your nails! I use Zeva Triple Strength Nail Guard as my base coat (http://zevanails.com/Zeva-Nail-Guard-Triple-Protection-Formula/M/B001EVLSYQ.htm).
Step 2:
Paint your nails! I used two coats of Aspen.
Step 3:
Dot it up! I used a nail dotting tool in a larger and smaller size to get the variety of dots. I used Honor and Amal.
Step 4:
Dots on Dots! Add some more dots within the dots. I heard you liked dots, dawg.
Step 5:
Moaaar dots! Here I did a connect the dots type tree outline. I really like the look of the swish trees, as I call them, so I wanted to recreate that look on my nails. I figured it would be easier to do the dots first, then connect as I go. I used Honor for the tree.
Step 6:
Connect the dots! I used a small striping brush to swish from each dot to the next
Step 7:
Add a star! I used the same small striping brush to create a tiny star.
And, there you have it! A simple Holiday mani using three of the Zoya Mattes. I wanted to keep the matte look so I didn't top coat it, but if you like a topcoat, topcoat away! Thanks for checking out my post, and many thanks again to Jen for asking me to guest post!
Happy Holidays
