Good evening dears! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine was full of soccer and running and bad weather. Now that I look back at it all jeesh, I'm exhausted! But tomorrow there is a launch that you'll definitely want to know about so I'm here to share that now! I'm sure you've seen the announcement of the 2016 Pantone Color of the Year and that it's not 1 color but 2! If you haven't seen yet HERE it is - Rose Quartz and Serenity. A pink and a blue. Both are lovely alone (albeit a bit baby shower-ish) but together they make a showstopper! Anywho, Smitten Polish came up with these beautiful holo micro glitters in the 2 Pantone shades. The Color of the Year Duo will be available as a duo and individually on Monday 12/14 at 2pm Central. The Christmas In Stars Hollow Collection will also be available again tomorrow (you can see my post for that collection HERE). Set your clocks people! Now let's jump in and check these beauties out.

Let's start with Of Quartz It Is, the Smitten Polish rendition of Rose Quartz 13-1520. This is a soft pink bursting with holo micro glitter. The formula and application were both fabulous. I reached full coverage in 3 coats of Of Quartz It Is and finished with a layer of topcoat for a completely smooth to the touch finish.
Serenity NOW is the second half of the duo, inspired by Serenity 15-3919. This is a gorgeous and whimsical blue full of sparkly holo micro glitter - reminds me of a fairy tale Princess shade. Serenity NOW had a great formula and I had full coverage in 3 coats. I used 1 layer of topcoat for a glossy finish.
Yeah, I had to show them together because the minute Noelie shared the teaser pic I told her how badly I wanted to gradient them. Well I did just that and it turned out beautifully! I sponged on both Of Quartz It Is and Serenity NOW - went over my nails about 3 times. These are so sparkly and blend together so well. Sponging them did cause the finish to be a bit gritty so I used 2 layers of topcoat to smooth over the mani.
