Vegas Duo; Anonymous Lacquer & Ever After Polish

Evening beauties!  I'm settled in for the night and watching Stranger Things, do you watch that show?  The few episodes I've seen so far are very suspenseful!  Anywho, since I can't sit and focus on any one thing at a time I decided to share a late night post with you.  Well sadly I didn't get around to this one in time, it was made available while I was on vacation, and now it's sold out.  I have no idea if the duo will be made again.  Sorry!  But the details about this duo are; it's called the Vegas Duo and has a polish from Ever After Polish and Anonymous Lacquer.  It was from Cocktails & Colors in Vegas.  It was $20.  If you're a fan of these brands and missed out then my fingers are crossed for you that this duo makes a return!  Let's check out the duo!

Colors By Llarowe As Rome Burned, August A Box, Indied

Good morning lovelies!  Tick tock, it's almost time for CosmoProf!  2 days 2 days and I'll be in Vegas!  I almost can't contain myself!  I also can't contain myself because I have some gorgeous polish lined up to share with you, starting with the Colors by Llarowe contribution to the August A Box, Indied.  As Rome Burned is...well I can't even begin to express my feelings towards it.  It's literally breathtaking and left me speechless.  What you need to know; the August A Box, Indied will be available on July 26th and will be $50.  As per the norm, you get 5 polishes from a variety of indie brands.  I like the idea of the box because you can get exclusives from your favorite brands or you can try new brands easily.  Ok well let's check out this swoon-worthy polish, shall we?

Ok so As Rome Burned.  This is a gorgeous rusty red holo.  It really looks like burning embers and it's absolutely stunning.  As Rome Burned is a rich, saturated red that had a fantastic formula.  It applied like butter and covered perfectly in 1 coat.  ONE COATER ALERT!  There is very slight visible nail line in my pictures but in real life you couldn't see anything.  I will suggest a good base coat because there is a possibility you could have some nail or skin staining with As Rome Burned.  I finished my mani with 1 layer of topcoat.

Candy Cane Stripe Christmas Mani

Good evening ya'll.  I am so darn tired.  If my body touches the couch or bed I will surely pass out.  I stayed up late last night and had to get up bright and early for soccer.  It was soccer all day.  I'm finally home and feeling tired, sore, a little beat up.  I am about to start wrapping Christmas presents and what better timing to share a Christmas mani with you!  I can't remember why I did this one, but I LOVE how it turned out!  It's not overdone, the glitter and holo stripes work perfectly together.  So let's delve in to what I used to create this look.

I'm a little too tired to be wordy tonight so I'll just give you the rundown of what's on each nail.  The formula and application of all 4 were fantastic.  These are 2 of my all time favorite indie brands and they never disappoint.  Hope you enjoy my festive pictures too!

Memorial Day Mani!

Good afternoon!  As most of us Americans are getting ready to enjoy a day off of work and school, firing up the BBQ's and drinking a few cold ones let's remember the real reason behind this holiday.  Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and gratefulness to those men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.  To uphold the rights and freedom that we enjoy every day.  Today Americans remember the fallen soldiers who have served our great country.  I am very grateful for all the US soldiers, alive and passed on.  Thank you so much for your dedication to the USA.

For today I chose to go patriotic with my mani, but I needed to stay true to myself so I started out with 3 amazing holos!  Smitten Polish The First Lobster (red), Glitter Gal Light As A Feather (white) and Ninja Polish Glamorous (blue).  I topped them with a reverse glitter gradient of Lumina Lacquer Young Americans.  I seriously adore this red, white and blue glitter polish with all it's hearts, stars and circles!  I am very pleased with how my mani turned out.

Smitten Polish Turning Leaves Tree-O: Zelda's Fall-ly, I Never Drink…Wine & Cocoa & Cardis

Good morning lovelies!  I have a gorgeous trio of holos to show you today.  I had seen swatches of  the Turning Leaves Tree-O go by on my Facebook feed and just knew I had to start stalking.  So stalk I did and I caught the pre-sale and now they are mine, bwahahahah!  This is my first time trying Smitten Polish and I am very impressed.  The colors are rich and unique.  The formula was so easy to apply it practically did it without any effort on my part.  It's definitely a brand I will be purchasing from again!  If you are interested in buying Smitten Polish you can do so on their Etsy page.  You can also follow Smitten on Facebook.

Please don't be mad but the first one I am showing you is no longer available.  Zelda's Fall-ly was a limited edition and I'm glad I decided I needed the trio and not just 1 or 2.  I truly would have been pouty if I didn't have this beauty in my possession.  The creator behind Smitten describes Zelda's Fall-ly as "a warm, bright orange-leaning linear holographic polish.  She appears as more of a true red in direct sunlight."  I didn't see any orange but the red is stunning!  I found it to be one of the easiest reds to wear with easy application and clean up.  The formula was simply amazing.  I used 2 coats of Zelda's Fall-ly and 1 layer of topcoat for the pictures below.

Up next is I Never Drink…Wine.  This was actually the one that caught my eye when initially saw the trio.  I was smitten (pun intended).  I've been quite obsessed with holos in this red wine color and I don't see the obsession stopping any time soon.  I Never Drink…Wine is perfect.  I adore the color.  It is simply described as a "deep wine-colored linear holographic polish."  Another amazing formula/application here.  I used 2 coats of INDW and 1 layer of topcoat.

Finally we have Cocoa & Cardis.  At this moment it's the only one available in the Smitten shop.  If you love it get it now.  I love it.  Alot.  Dark chocolatey brown and linear holo is a huge win in my book.  The color on Cocoa & Cardis is amazing.  Deep and rich, can't you just taste the chocolate?  Doesn't it make you want to wrap up in your favorite cozy cardigan?   2 big yes's for me.  Just like the last 2, application and formula were perfect.  Lovely and smooth flowing polish that really makes you feel amazing when it's on your nails!  I used 2 coats of C&C and 1 layer of topcoat.

True Blood Skittlette

Are you a Trubie??  I am!  So I have this quick post to show you a skittlette mani I did for tonight's season premiere!  I AM SO EXCITED!  I am on Team Eric in case you wondered.  So this isn't a review, just some pictures to show you how I paired things together.  I have never done a skitlette and honestly, alot of thought goes into it to make sure you are pairing everything just right.  I'm sure that future skittlettes will be better and more intricate but for today I am happy with how this turned out.  Chit Chat Nails is pretty much the expert on the subject (and the creator from what I can tell).  Here's her tutorial for the method if you are interested in trying it!
