Firecracker Lacquer: My Heato Mojito, March Macaw & Kiss Me Under The Mistletoe

Hullo there.  I'm hanging out with Naomi watching Doc McStuffins and avoiding my adult responsibilities (folding laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning house).  I really only have to get the boys from school (already did it) and prepare for the back to school family picnic (doing it).   Are your kids back into the swing of things?  Is your schedule back on routine?  I like that I can do a little swatching while the kids are at school.  I was able to play with a few Firecracker Lacquers the other day and was totally ooohing and aaahing over my nails.  I got to meet Kendal in person in Las Vegas and she is one of those gorgeous and hilarious gals that you are glad to have as a friend.  She reminds me of one of my high school bff's actually!  Anyhoodle, let's talk polish.  I've got 3 to share with you - one I believe was the Vegas exclusive color and the other two are still available in the shop now!  There's a nice variety of finishes and the prices range from $8 - $11.  So let's check these beauties out!

My Heato, Mojito is a minty green, ever so soft holo, with shimmer and blue flakes.   I looooove this one!  But I think it was a Vegas Cocktails & Colors exclusive  so I don't think it's going to be available for purchase (don't quote me on that).  Hopefully Kendahl makes some colors similar to this because it's totally gorgeous!  I used 3 coats of My Heato, Mojito for full coverage.  It dried to a slightly matte finish so I slapped on a layer of topcoat for glossy shine.

Macaw March is a "bright, dusty holographic blue."  Somehow it really is bright and dusty at the same time!  I'd categorize it as a cornflower shade of blue and the holo is a very loose scattered finish.    The formula was cruelly-like and went on easily.  I would mention that it seemed to be a little sticky (for lack of a better word) but I had no issues smoothing it out and covering my entire nail.  I'd recommend letting each layer dry completely before adding the next.  I used 3 coats of Macaw March for full coverage and a layer of topcoat.  Pssst - if you like this polish it's in the Going Going Gone section right now so you'd better snatch it up quick!

Ahhh red, you be still my heart.  Kiss Me Under The Mistletoe was from last years Winter Wonder collection.  It's a "bright red creme with fine holographic glitter and flashes of pink flakies."  I hadn't red the description before wearing it and I was totally smitten with the pink flashes and flakies in there.  They almost seemed iridescent at times.  The formula and application of Kiss Me Under The Mistletoe were both great.   I'd say the formula was more crelly than creme yet it applied perfectly in 2 coats!  I used 1 layer of topcoat to finish.
