Hello! Sorry for being MIA this month. It's always a hectic month with all the holiday things going on and my regular schedule of sports practices and games. I have a few posts to share and will hopefully get them up this week. Today I have the November Fit Snack Box to share and it was full of some great snacks! There were a handful that I will definitely stock in my pantry for snack attacks and lunch boxes! This box isn't available now but the December box is. Let's check out the tasty treat and as always, you can save 30% off your first box by using my link HERE.
I've received SinFit Nutrition Nut Butter before and was a fan. I'm pretty sure this is the same flavor I received in the past and I once again enjoyed it. You get a nice peanut butter and chocolate flavor in the Chocolate Chaos. The unt butter is a little stiff - more what you would expect of an almond butter. It did need to be stirred up a bit. For those who count this info, you get 12 grams of protein per serving.
"A product I haven't tried before" alert! Teaonic Wellness Shots in My Gut Mojo is a small, ready to go wellness shot. It's loaded with herbs, juices and plant extracts to help your tummy feel great. It has ginger juice, all leaf juice, cinnamon (for digestive support), cranberry juice (for overall immunity and anti-bacterial support) and hibiscus (anti-inflammatory). The flavor was alright. I did taste the cranberry and hibiscus. I could totally down this thought if I were having stomach troubles and felt this would help.
I ate these Nairn's oat grahams without looking at the packaging. I thought Hey!, these taste just like graham crackers and then I saw the label and laughed at myself. But these are gluten free and made from whole grain oats. They really are tasty and will be great for dipping or dunking in to your favorite spread (the SinFit Chocolate Chaos mayhaps?). There are 4 in a package. I did think they were a bit crumbly but they still tasted great.
I was very intrigued by the Bada Bean Bada Boom crunchy broad beans. I only know about these beans because my husband ate them frequently as a kid. I got the garlic & onion flavor and thankfully it wasn't overpowering, the seasoning was done just right. They had a nice crunchy to them as well. Each package is only 100 calories and the beans are vegan, gluten free and non-GMO. Plus 7 grams of protein!
This one made me nervous. I wasn't a fan of the last Libra Meal Bar I received - I just don't know if I can get behind a protein/energy bar that is savory and not sweet. Kind of like how I thought that gum Violet chewed in Willy Wonka that was tomato soup, roast beef and mashed potatoes sounded unappetizing. Anyways, I still gave it a try. It was bruschetta flavor and I could taste the sun dried tomato and basil flavors, which I generally enjoy. But mixed with the hard, chewy bar, I wasn't a fan. You really get a ton of protein in this bar though, 31 grams of protein! And it's full of egg whites, fruit and nuts. So you should give it a try yourself because you might like it!
Yay! More That's It bars! I really liked these and they're a hit with my kids as well. They get their fruit leather fix and I have less guilt by tossing these in their lunch boxes. That's It are made with 2 ingredients, the bars I received are made of apples and figs. There is no added sugar here.
I am pretty consistent with my dislike for the PlantFusion shake mixes. I recited Red Velvet Cake this time and thought, OH!, I bet that's good. So like always, I mixed it with chilled almond milk. First sip was promising, but then the aftertaste kicked in. I don't know how to describe it. It's planty, earthy, and very artificially sweet. So it's another thumbs down here for me.
More Hippeas! I received Vegan White Cheddar this time. They were very cheesy but a but powdery and grainy for my liking. I know I flip flop often with this brand so I'm thinking my mood has a lot to do with it? Want some stats for these? Here ya go: USDA Organic, vegan and gluten free.
Lebby Chickpea Snacks are a totally new one for me to try and I 100% enjoyed them! And can I just say YAY for getting 2 flavors to taste test! These dry roasted chickpeas are gluten free. The chocolate ones are a sweet treat without the guilt. The milk chocolate ones are totally crunchy inside and a bit reminiscent of a malt ball. They have 8 grams of fiber and 13 grams of protein.
The Sesame Honey surprised me. They were also sweet but not overdone. I liked the crunchy sesame seeds on the outside and the overall nuttiness of each bite. These ones have 10 grams of fiber and 17 grams of protein.
And as always, your sneak peek at the workout guide that will be included with your box!
