Stella Chroma Hella Handmade Creations, October 2018 - Queens of Westeros, Queen Margaery

Afternoon!  How is Monday for you?  I spent the morning at doctor appointments again, then what seems like forever at the grocery store.  I put my feet up for a few and it's already time to get the kids!  I think I will try to nap after that.  But before the nap here's a fun post! I have the last of the Queens of Westeros collection to share with you.  Stella Chroma has worked her way through the Game of Thrones Queens and we are now at the last one, Queen Margaery.  This will be available exclusively through the Hella Handmade Creations site from 10/14 - 10/21. Queen Margaery will be $12.  Let's head in to the post and check her out!

Alter Ego Nail Enamel Winter Wonders Collection

Good morning dears!  I have the beautiful Winter Wonders collection from Alter Ego Nail Enamels to share with you today.  The colors and finishes of the 4 polishes in this collection are completely gorgeous.  I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again but Cynthia has really been knocking it out of the park lately with her colors, finishes and formula!  If you are a newbie to Alter Ego I would highly suggest you pick one of these out as your introduction to the brand!  The Winter Wonders Collection will be available on Saturday 1/17 at 10:00 am CST.  Let's jump in and look at pictures!

Alter Ego Nail Enamel Winter Wonders

Sugar Plums is a gorgeous plummy magenta with holo shimmer.  This color is really stunning.  Sugar Plums had a great formula and applied with ease.  I used 2 coats for full coverage.  It dries to a matte finish, for a glossy look like mine use a layer of topcoat.

Winter Sunset Watcher is a fabulous orange with loads of pink and gold shimmer.  This is a real beauty and a unique color.  I love how bright and refreshing Winter Sunset Watcher is after all the dark winter shades.  This one was just a little sheer.  I used 3 coats and still have some visible nail line.  Winter Sunset Watcher dries matte so use a layer of topcoat for a smooth, glossy look.

Frost Fairy is a soft, icy, frozen shade of blue.  It has beautiful blue and silvery shimmer.  As much as I love the last two polishes if I'm being honest with myself, Frost Fairy is my favorite of the collection.  Everything about it was pure perfection.  Formula and application?  Perfection.  I used 3 coats of Frost Fairy for full coverage.  Let each layer dry completely before the next - dries to a soft matte finish.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

And finally we have Balsam Beauty.  This forest green polish is full of holo shimmer.  I love this color.  It makes me feel like I'm standing in the middle of a lush forest.  The formula and application were both great.  Easy to work with, nothing to report home about.  Balsam Beauty was a touch sheer and as you can see I still have some visible nail line after 3 coats.  It dries to a soft matte so finish with a layer of topcoat.

Dior Nymphea

Le Sigh.  Dior, Dior, Dior.  You have such lovely colors and formulas and Nymphea is no exception to the rule.  Nymphea was released with the Spring 2013 Dior Snow Collection.  It's a gorgeous light blue creme (I see hidden shimmer) with a slight tinge of aqua.  It looks like tropical waters on my nails and now I need a vacation on a remote and lush island with an adult beverage and an umbrella straw.  Hey, a girl can dream can't she?  I used 3 layers of Nymphea for full coverage.  The formula was nice to work with.  I had no problems with application.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

What are your thoughts on this refreshing blue?  It is something you would wear plain or would you dress it up with shimmer or glitter?
