Lumina Lacquer Halloween; For Whom the Spell Tolls & Little Box of Horrors (partial collection review)

Good afternoon dears!  It's raining here which is great, but I am in limbo all morning waiting to find out which of my kids soccer games are scheduled and which are canceled.  Sigh.  In the meantime I have some brand new Lumina Lacquers for you to take a gander at!  I'm so happy Tatiana had a chance to create a Halloween collection becuase I sure missed her glitterific creations!  The 5 piece collection is full of glitter (surprise!), a micro glitter and a brown/black with holo shimmer!  They are all gorgeous and I have 2 to share with you today.  The entire Halloween line currently available and range from $9-$10 each.   *press sample* Lumina Lacquer: Shop, Mei Mei's Signatures, Facebook, Instagram For Whom The Spell Tolls is a "lime gold blinding holo glitter polish."  It's gorgeous and a unique micro glitter polish in my stash.  I totally love it, this lime green is such a fun Halloween color.  The formula and application were both awesome.  So much glitter came out with each brush dip and the glitters spread perfectly and evenly.  You can reach full coverage alone in 2-3 coats.  I used 3 coats of For Whom The Spell Tolls to ensure there were no bald spots in my pictures.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat for a smooth to the touch finish.

Little Box of Horrors is a "satin glitter polish that is completely made up of squares in various colors in pastels, neons and black."  How adorable is this polish?  I love that it's 100% tiny squares.  Little Box of Horrors had a fantastic formula and applied so easily.  The glitter payoff was stellar.  I used 1 coat of Little Box of Horrors over 2 coats of Sinful Colors Sweet Tooth.  A little baggie of matte skull and crossbones was included and I applied one in a different color to each nail for a little extra decoration.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat for a glossy finish.

Rainbow Honey Apple Kid & I Miss You

Hullo polish friends!  I'm back with more gorgeous Rainbow Honey The Summer of 199X colors!  This set consists of 10 polish colors inspired by the 1995 SNES game Earthbound.  Dee explains that each polish reminds her of the different game levels.  Part 1 of the collection "is made up of 5 new glitter bombs bursting with shimmer and color."  Part 2 is "3 new shimmer-dusted cremes and 2 new glitter toppers that give each creme a bold or sweet look."  There are A LOT of gorgeous polishes in this collection.  I recently reviewed Mint Flavor and I Miss You, you can see that post HERE!  Head over to the Rainbow Honey Facebook page or Instagram (rainbowhoney) to see pictures and swatches of the other colors!  The Summer of 199X will be available on Friday June 21 atwww.rainbowhoney.com.  

This is Apple Kid.  It's my favorite of the 3 polishes I was sent to review.  Apple Kid is a beautiful "bright and rosy fuchsia creme" color with amazing pink-purple flakes!  It's stunning.  Application on Apple Kid was flawless, smooth and easy flowing.  2 coats for full coverage.  I also have an accent nail of Mint Flavor with Apple Kid zig zags drawn on.  1 layer of topcoat for extra shine.  

Here is Apple Kid topped with I Miss You.  I Miss You is a delicate glitter topper full of iridescent and pastel glitters in butterfly, heart, square and hex shapes.  Tons of glitter comes out with each brush dip and it spread nicely on the nail.  All the glitter lay flat and smoothed out with a layer of topcoat.

Rainbow Honey The Robot Collection

I'm finally caught up again and am excited to show you the new Rainbow Honey Robot

Collection!  The Robot Collection is currently available on Rainbowhoney.com and is described as being "Formulated with specially coated aluminum flakes, the metallic lacquers of the Robot Collection are simultaneously sparkly, reflective, and smooth!"  I loved the colors in this collection.  Bitty Love Bot and Femme Bot were my favorite colors from the set.  Of course Yoshimi, the black and white glitter was one of my favorites as well.  Because of the foil-metallic nature of the polish I'd recommend a ridge filling base coat to get a completely smooth finish.  I'll let you know now that each picture of the Bots alone are 2 coats with no topcoat, the pictures with Yoshimi are 1 coat of the glitter topper with topcoat.  So lets jump into the pictures, shall we?

1.  Bitty Love Bot is a beautiful light aqua color.  The color was unique and lovely.  The formula was easy to work with.

2.  Bitty Love Bot topped with Yoshimi, a gorgeous black and white glitter with iridescent micro glitters that flash rainbow colors!  Yoshimi is so fun and unique in my collection (I have a few black and white glitters).  It's full of tiny squares and a few rectangles!  I haven't come across rectangle glitter yet!  Plenty of glitter came out with each brush dip, and it spread easily over the nail.  All the glitter lay flat.

3.  Dusty Bot is a lavender colored metallic polish.  Lovely color, this one took 3rd place in my favorites list.  Dusty Bot had a great formula!

4.  Yoshimi over Dusty Bot.

5.   Lucky Bot is an adorable pastel lime green (in foil form of course).  Loved the color on this one too, but the formula was just a bit thick with the 2nd coat.  It wasn't too difficult to work with, just took a little more patience.

7.  My favorite of the collection - Femme Bot!  I can't help but think of the Austin Powers movies.  Femme Bot is a "sparkling metallic peony" color.  It had a wonderful formula that was easy to work with.

9. Skyward Bot, the last in the metallic set, is a cerulean blue.  This was the most vibrant and reflective in the collection.  Skyward Bot had an easy formula to work with showing the least amount of nail ridges.
