Fit Snack Box: March 2019

I have another late night post tonight.  But it's full of snacks!  Are you a late night snacker, like me?  Do you need a quick bite before or after a workout, like me? Or maybe something hold you over between meals, like me? Clearly I have a snacking problem but when I get my Fit Snack box I know that my choices will be healthy, filling and tasty!  The March box is packed full of tasty treats that you are sure to enjoy as much as I did.  I did catch wind that this box is already sold out, but starting in April I will have sneak peaks to share with you before my actual review to help you make purchasing decisions.  And don't forget you can save 30% off your first box using my link HERE.  Ok, let's get to it!

Satisbite, the complete chip.  Yay, a new to me product!  These are vegan, non-GMO and gluten free. I got Smoky BBQ flavor and it was very tasty.  I am not the biggest fan of BBQ flavor but it was done well, not too salty or smoky.  These kind of reminded me of rice cakes.  So if you like those, you will like these.  You'll get 10g of protein and 3g of fiber per serving.

More Pasta Chips!  I'm almost positive I have had the Garlic Olive Oil flavor before.  I quite like it.  Reminds me of garlic bread.  So these are essentially garlic bread chips.  Tasty and crunchy.  I bet they'd even be good crumbled up as a topper for a salad!  These are 120 calories a serving and there are plenty of flavors to make everyone on your family happy!

I was gobsmacked to see that I received a whole package of Vermont Smoke & Cure mini meat sticks! I got the original beef and pork flavor and they are very good.  I enjoyed the meatiness plus they are peppery and juicy (not dried out like a jerky product).  These are individually wrapped so they're great for lunchboxes, press and gym, bags.

I am super in to collagen.  I put a scoop in my coffee every morning.  Since I am so active with running, walking, soccer, gym classes and strength training I want to make sure my joints all stay healthy as long as possible.  Plus the added benefit of strong and healthy nails is appealing too.  I was excited to see this ZEEBAR in my box!  I haven't heard of or tried these before so they are totally new to me.  The collagen helps joints, bones, ligaments and your gut stay strong and healthy.  It also helps improve hair and nails. Aragan Oil is full of vitamin A and E, antioxidants and Omega 6 fatty acids.  I got the almond raisin flavor and it was pretty tasty.  Not overly chewy or sticky.  And just the right amount of sweetness.

Another bar and another new product!  Orgain Kids O-Bar is geared towards kids, but I thought the bar was so tasty I'd totally eat them all myself.  My kids enjoyed them too!  I'm also on board for an easy to toss in the lunchbox snack, especially if the kids will actually eat them.  O-Bars have 9-10 grams of whole grains, half the sugar and 3X the fiber.  They are dense and sweet, almost like oatmeal cookie dough.

Looking for a peanut free substitute for peanut butter?  Maybe you have a nut-free school zone?  Peanut Free WOWBUTTER is exactly what you need!  It's peanut free, tree nut free and gluten free.    You can get it in both creamy and crunchy.  WOWBUTTER is made with plant protein and Omega-3.    The best thing is that it tastes great!  I have the sample size but if you purchase this at the store it will look just like a regular jar of peanut butter.  I think this would be a great addition to a smoothie and even peanut-free butter cookies!

Vahdam Teas has another go in this months box.  Since I'm a decaf person I haven't tried any of these. They do have a few herbal blends but sadly they have never been included in the Fit Snack box.  And their blends sound great.  This month I got a small package full of assorted teas - I'd guess these are the most popular ones?  You should definitely check out the website, there are lots of teas to choose from!

Do you go to the gym, run, lift weights?  If you do you probably have some type of pre-workout drink to help give you a boost.  First Order is a performance pre-workout mix that has no fillers, no artificial flavor, no soy and no gluten.  You mix it with 4-8 ounces of water, but I found it to be extremely sweet and kept cutting it with more and more water.  I probably had about 12 ounces of water overall with the powder.  I drank it before a strength training session and I felt great.  If you like Pink Lemonade flavor you will probably enjoy this.  *I can only find YouTube videos for this product so I have no shop link to share.

The last product I have to share is a game changer!  Vade Nutrition Dissolvable Protein Scoops!  WHAT?!  I drink a lot of shakes.  The powder can be messy.  And if you have to carry them with you there's the possibility of getting powder all over everything.  Well Vade eliminated that with these dissolvable protein scoops full of whey isolate protein!  It's a single serving in a wrap that dissolves in the liquid, genius.  And they went with the basic vanilla and chocolate flavors.  I used my usual unsweetened vanilla almond milk and added the chocolate, it was alright.  Not uber chocolatey or rich tasting like some others.  So taste wise was just ok, but I'm still flabbergasted at how cool the product is.  And it really did dissolve right away!

  1. That’s a huge box! I love your idea of crumbling up the pasta chips in salad. Also, I need to try the pre workout drink. I don’t like the flavor I currently have but am forcing myself to finish it LOL
