Colors by Llarowe - NailLand Exclusives; Scattered Sun & Berry Gem

Morning.  Monday comes too fast around here.  I am looking forward to Summer when I can actually sleep in a little.  Not much, just a little.  There's really no such thing as sleeping in when you have kids.  I guess I failed when I was supposed to teach my kids that skill.  But only 12 days of school left then I'll get a little break from the 6am wake up call.  Anywho, I've got a post for you today featuring 2 gorgeous Colors by Llarowe polishes that are exclusive to the NailLand shop.  These were creating as a collaboration between Llarowe and LakkomLakkom.  The good news is these are both still available in the shop.  The bad news is you're going to pay some steep shipping as this shop is in Hungary.  So let's delve in and check out these shop exclusives!

Sweet Heart Polish Believe

Good morning and happy Friday!  Any fun plans for the weekend?  I was thinking of taking the kids to the beach today.  I know time is running out to take things off our summer bucket list and really the beach isn't that far so I suppose I'll make a day of it.  Another reason to be excited is that Sweet Heart Polish is releasing new polish today (7/31)!  I recently posted Jubilee and Second Star To The Right (you can see both HERE) and now I am sharing Believe!  Believe and Jubilee are both Las Vegas exclusives that Cassandra sweetly made available to everyone.  You can buy them separately or together in a duo. These will be up in the shop at 8am and they range from $9-$10 each.  The Believe/Jubilee Duo is $20.  Are you ready to look at a gorgeous holo?!  I always know I am!

Believe is a black holo with blue and red sparks and what looks like a touch of purple shimmer.  I am so happy to see darker colors making their return to the scene.  This means Fall is getting close.  As much as I love the Summer and the heat my favorite season is Fall.  Cozy sweaters, tall boots, comfort food and dark polish colors make me happy.  Believe makes me very happy.  The formula and application were both fantabulous.  Zero issues to report.  Believe build up nicely in 2 coats, but I applied a 3rd just for the depth and extra dark coverage.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

Colors by Llarowe Luke, I Am Your Father from the May A Box, Indied

Good afternoon lovelies!  Unlike the last couple posts I have done, this one (thankfully) is a polish that you can get.  Phew!  It's actually 1 of 5 polishes in the May's edition of the A Box, Indied collaboration.  The listing is already up on the Llarowe site and you can purchase it on 4/26 at noon and 7pm MST.  The price is $50 for either the individual box or the monthly subscription.  The most important thing you want to know about this box?  It's theme is May The Fourth Be With You.  HELLO Star Wars!  Fandom girls everywhere screamed in excitement (including myself).  I have always loved the original Star Wars movies (the recent trilogy was pretty blah to me though) and I am excited for the upcoming one!  Make sure you peek at the listing to see the other polishes included in the box - I spy 2 glow in the dark beauties!  Ok, let's jump in and talk about the Colors by Llarowe contribution to the May box.

Luke, I Am Your Father is a black linear holo.  It has a fairly strong blue flash that gives it a blacked blue look in direct sun.  There is also lots of silver shimmer that you can really see in the shade pictures.   When you get to the macro you can see some black flakies/glitter(?) in there too!  This is probably one of the most rainbow-colorful black holos that I have ever worn.  Luke, I Am Your Father is just really amazing.  The formula was awesome and the application was perfect.  I used 2 coats for full coverage and no topcoat.  I would recommend topcoat for a smoother look.

ellagee Electrosynthomagnetic

I saved this ellagee polish for last.  Why you ask?  Because this particular polish takes it's inspiration from one of my all time favorite things about Disneyland.  Electrosynthomagnetic is a nod to the Electric Light Parade.  One of the best parades EVER.  I remember being at Disneyland as a kid and my family would find seats along a Main Street curb as it was getting dark. Once it was fully nighttime the electronic music would start and floats lit up in hundreds, thousands of rainbow colored lights would parade down Main Street.  The music was fun, the floats were funny.  I wish this parade were still around because I think my kids would enjoy it as much as I did when I was their age.  Ah memories.

I recently reviewed other polishes from the ellagee World of Laughter collection.  You can see Welcome, Foolish Mortals here and the Birds Sing Words here.  You can follow ellagee on Facebook and Instagram (ellageepolish) and can purchase her creations at www.ellagee.com.

So here's Electrosynthomagnetic.  (I honestly can't even look at this polish without hearing the parade music in my head).  It's " a clear base with black, red, orange, gold, green, blue, purple, gold holographic, and silver holographic hexagon glitters."  The perfect polish to layer over a zillion different colors!  I chose to layer it over 2 coats of China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, a shimmery neon green.  It's it fun?  I love it.  Electrosynthomagnetic was another great formula.  I used 2 coats and the glitter was suspended well in the base, the glitters came out easily and spread well on my nails.  No stray or bumpy glitters, and 1 layer of topcoat to gloss it up.

And again like The Birds Sing Words, I couldn't just layer Electosynthomagnetic over one polish, I had to try it over 2.  I picked Color Club Beyond for my second run.  It's a black linear holo and it was a great base color for a polish that was inspired by night time party fun.  You can see more of the rainbow colored glitters in this combo.  I used 2 coats of Beyond, 1 coat of Electrosynthimagnetic and 1 layer of topcoat.  So which was your favorite combo?  These 2 are a tie for me.

*this polish was provided for my honest opinion and review

Here's a link to the Electric Light Parade on Main Street Disneyland.  It's a long-ish video, but if you watch the fist minute or two you will see the parade, lights and the inspiration to the polish.  Take a gander and enjoy the song!
