Lollipop Posse; Hella Handmade Creations, August 2019 - I Make Things Want Things

Good day to you.  And happy middle of the week.  Still on the back to school countdown.  1 week to go and Dobby is FREEEEEEE!  I think I am more nervous than excited this year because 2 of my kids are starting a new school.  I know they'll be fine though.  I changed schools a few times as a kid and my husband did a lot.  I mean A LOT.  And he was totally fine too.  Just my being a mom, hoping they make friends, have someone to sit with at lunch. So anyways, that's what I'm thinking about lately.
Let's talk polish though!  The HHC opens up soon and I have a stunning polish from Lollipop Posse to share with you.  This month Karen brings us I Make Things Want Things, inspired by Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels.  I don't know much about Sandman, but I know Neil Gaiman has been hot on the Fandom scene lately. I also know this polish is a hands down stunna!  You can purchase I Make Things Want Things from 8/14 - 8/21.  It will be $13, no cap.

So what did you think of that first picture of I Make Things Want Things?  Beautiful right?  It's a holo flakie base with red/gold/green shifting multichrome pigment and red/gold shifting UCC flakes.  I don't know about you guys but this screams Fall.  I look at it and I see cozy, warm, fuzzy.  Fireplace and hot cocoa.  Maybe I'm just ready for cooler days and oversized sweaters.  Maybe it's just the brown, gold, red and green colors that I see in this polish. I used 3 thin coats to build up the color and depth.  I did notice some of the flakes are larger and that causes them to stick up in areas so just pay attention to where you are laying them down and you should be good to go.  I finished with topcoat.

  1. I hope your kids make fast friends! We moved a lot when I was younger (the most was three schools my 7th grade!) and it stinks being the new kid but you aren’t for long! This polish is very beautiful.

  2. I'm so nervous for my little kindergartner going to a school where she knows no one except her brother in third grade. She's such a shy one. So fingers crossed. And I hope the fingers are wearing a nail polish as striking as this one from Lollipop Posse.

  5. Hope your kids make a good adjustment to the new schools. I hated moving as a kid. Glad your kids don’t mind. Pretty shade. So much going on!

  6. I loved the Sandman novels but haven't read them in quite some time. What a pretty interpretation!
I'm sure your kids will do great at new schools! Kids are so much better with making new friends than adults! My oldest started up August 1st, which feels crazy early to me.

  7. I only ever switched schools for my last year of HS, well other than normal grade changes! LOL! I ended up liking the last one better than the one I had been in. Ha! Never did I expect that. Hope you all make the transition well. I know I always hated going back to school, as did my mom. Still do too! Ha!
