Happy Wednesday and Happy New Year. This is the first time I am jumping on the blog since around Christmas time. I had quite a lot going on in the last few weeks. I went on an RV road trip with the family for vacation. Then I had a family crisis to deal with and have been in a fog for a while. So I'm trying to claw my way back to normal and I'll start that process with getting back to my regular routines; working out, running and walking, the kids sports schedules, my blog. Today I'll be sharing the December Fit Snack box. It's available through today so if you are keen to try any of these snacks I suggest you don't wait! If you've never tried Fit Snack before you can save 30% off on your first box by using my link HERE.
Gorilly Goods has been making a regular appearance in these boxes. Some nut blends I have enjoyed, others not as much. But I genuinely haven't disliked any of them. Just flavor preferences. I got Trail blend this time and it's packed full or almonds, cashews, pecans, pumpkin seeds, berries and cacao nibs (which aren't particularly sweet). When you eat one of these snack packs you are enjoying an organic, raw, vegan and gluten free treat. I found this one to be sweet and crunchy. I prefer sweet flavors so I really enjoyed this.
Oooh Protein Pretzel Sticks! I'm so curious! These are from Kay's Naturals and they are a high protein snack that is gluten free and low in sugar. The Cinnamon Toast flavor has 12g of protein and 4g of fiber. The flavor was great, definitely reminiscent of the popular cereal. The pretzels were crunchy but maybe a bit more dry that a regular pretzel stick. Check out all the other high protein snacks they have available: cereals, cookies, chips, etc.
Supernola is diary free, grain free, gluten free snack that is loaded with flavor and no guilt. They have 4 flavors to chose from (I believe I have tried 3 of them now) and I received the Signature Spiced Goji this time. It was sweet, chewy, flavorful, . Each bite is full of seeds, berries, nuts and spices. I like that these are in cluster form versus a bar so there's no risk of them being broken in to pieces in your pack - they are already in small pieces!
Nakd makes fruit and nut bars, 17 flavors to be exact. They are made with minimal ingredients, this particular bar has 4 natural ingredients plus orange flavoring. All of the Nakd bars are gluten free, wheat free and dairy free. They're full of raw fruits and nuts and delicious. I received Cocoa Orange and it was extremely tasty, I get both of the flavors strongly enough and really enjoyed this bar. I would love to try some of their other flavors!
I received Lebby Chickpea Snacks in the last box and they were a fabulous sweet treat that helped curb my sugar cravings. I got Dark Chocolate and Mocha flavors this time. The chickpea centers are dry roasted so you get a great crunch. Then they're covered in a delicious sweet coating. The Mocha has 13g of protein and 8g of fiber per bag. It was a mild coffee flavor, maybe a bit more like a cappuccino than a mocha, but enjoyable. The Dark Chocolate has 10g of protein and 8g of fiber. It wasn't super bitter like a dark chocolate bar, more like the perfect amount of chocolate. 2 thumbs way up and a satisfied sweet tooth.
Mmmm, beef sticks! I really liked this beef stick from Wicked Cutz. It reminds me of when I was a kid and went to 7-11 for a specific beef stick but these are like the more delicious, healthy, adult version of those. These sticks are no MSG, no nitrates, gluten free AND 15g of protein. I got the Original Peppered flavor and it is perfectly seasoned. Actually had to fight my daughter off to even get a bite, she really liked it too. This will definitely fill your craving for a hearty, meaty snack. Check out their site, they have 4 different flavors too beef sticks to chose from and beef jerky flavors too.
YAY for Salmas! I have received these a few times now and they are very yummy. They are like a toasted, crunchy taco shell. They'd be fantastic with guacamole, salsa, 7-layer dip, spinach dip, pretty much anything you can dip with a chip! Sanissimo Salmas are 100% whole grain and made with 4 ingredients: whole corn flour, salt, slaked lime and tocopherols. I can't speak highly enough of these. They are delicious. Try them!
This is probably the one product I cringe at when I open my Fit Snack boxes. I genuinely don't mind repeat brands/snacks but I have to quit on this one. I keep trying and trying the Purely Inspired Organic Protein mix and I just can't take the after taste. I don't really have much to say other than the initial taste is ok, sweet and vanilla-y. Then the fake sugar, plant protein flavor comes in and I just can't drink any more.
Teaonic is a really interesting company. They make drinks and shots of natural wellness blends that target specific needs (brain, liver, skin, relax, detox). I received Revive and it's meant to help boost your immune system with ingredients like ginger, lemon, cinnamon, cayenne pepper. This one is pretty strong in the flavor department. I got a lot of cayenne and cinnamon. I could easily get on board with having these little drinks around to help keep me feeling my best.
And here's your little peek at the workout sheet!
