Morning beauties.  You remember that cool new Facebook group where each month they have a theme, makers create polish and YOU can buy which ever ones you want?  Yeah, The Polish Pickup....that group.  Well it's time for the May polishes!  May's theme is "Science".  If you're in the group already go have a scroll through all the pretty polishes created.  If you're not in the group you should probably join so you can stay in the know.  ellagee participated in the theme this month and came up with a gorgeous, dark, rainbow-y, sparkly polish called She Blinded Me With Science.  It will be available from 5/5 to 5/8.  Let's jump in and see the polish!

The Girl Who Has Everything Duo from Sweet Heart Polish & Sea Lore

Good morning lovelies!  I have a gorgeous duo to share with you today.  I know that I've shared several duo's from Sweet Heart Polish and another select indie brand lately and I have loved each more than the last.  Well The Girl Who Has Everything from Sweet Heart Polish and Sea Lore might have sealed the deal as my absolute favorite ever!  This duo is blue, glittery, shimmery, holoy.  AND it's inspired by Ariel's Undersea Adventure at Disney's California Adventure!  Cassandra and Jamie both did amazing jobs here, I completely feel like I've been transported to the ride and am reminiscing about the movie as I type.  The Girl Who Has Everything Duo will be available in both shops tomorrow, Saturday November 8th at 12pm PST.  The duo will be $20+shipping.  And now you know what time it is...time to look at polish!

Up first I have Sea Lore's contribution to the duo, Under The Sea.  Under The Sea is described as a "cobalt blue jelly with green shimmer, holographic sparkle and various sizes of rainbow glitters throughout."  It's definitely a colorful trip into the ocean and I think Jamie succeeded at capturing all of the colors we see in that specific part of the ride (and movie).  Under The Sea had a fabulous formula, it applied easily and had pretty opaque coverage for a jelly finish.  I used 3 coats of Under The Sea and finished with 1 layer of topcoat.   Here's a link to the song Under The Sea if you want to hear it!

Flipping Your Fins is the other half of the duo, from Sweet Heart Polish.  Flipping Your Fins is a "gorgeous cerulean blue holographic jelly with a blue to green shift. You can see this shade is quite the chameleon, in some lights it's full of holographic sparkle, and in other lights you can see her gorgeous green/blue color shift!"  I included that extra sentence because it's absolutely true and I tried my hardest to show you all of those qualities!  I do think the polish is a bit more teal than my pictures picked up, but in some lighting the polish really is more blue and in others more teal.  I LOVE the micro flakies that shift green to blue - they capture that mermaid essence perfectly.  Formula and application were both stellar.  I used 3 coats of Under The Sea and no topcoat.  And here's the link to Part Of Your World so you can listen to it too!

Emerald & Ash Snozzberries

Good morning friends!  As you know I have recently become a fan of the brand Emerald & Ash, not only because they have some fantastic polish and cuticle oil, but also because the duo behind the brand are both really awesome in person.  Ashley and Nate are so full of life and in sync with each other - it's no surprise to me that together they have created such a fabulous brand from top to bottom (by that I mean bottle choice, colors, labels, scents, etc...).  Well I have a gorgeous polish to share with you today so let's jump in and take a look!  And stay tuned because I hope to have a post up featuring 4 Emerald & Ash cuticle oil scents on my blog in the next week.  Full sized Emerald & Ash polish retails for $8.50 - $9.50 a bottle.

First off YES I can completely picture Snozzberries looking like this polish does!  Ashley and Nate  describe this polish as a"purple jelly that is filled with color shifting square glitter and some purple and red holo micro glitters."  Since this is a jelly base I decided to start with a ridge filling base coat, which gave my nails a bit of a matte/nude/opaque color to start with.  I was then able to reach full coverage with 2 coats of Snozzberries.  The formula was great and the application was fantastic.  No issues to bring up.  I was very happy with the glitter payoff.  And anything that makes a nod to one of my favorite movies ever is all right in my book.

Esmaltes Da Kelly Sabrina & Lonely Is the Night

Good morning dears!   I've come to the end of my South American international review spam!  This is the final brand I have to share with you and I specifically saved these 2 for last.  When I initially opened my blogger package I was immediately drawn to these and they didn't disappoint!  Esmaltes Da Kelly is another Brazilian indie polish brand with tons of pretty polish.  I went to check out the Esmaltes Da Kelly website and it's got a notice that it will soon be moving, but there is still some polish posted for your viewing pleasure.  Once again, if you don't live in Brazil don't fret, Sisi at Color4Nails can hook you up!  She has a great selection of EDK in stock!  They are $8 for each 8 ml bottle.  You can also follow Color4Nails on Facebook (you really do want to like this page!  Sisi has flash sales, promotions and giveaways all the time) and Instagram (color4nails).

Up first is my favorite of the 2 EDK.  Sabrina is a simple but gorgeous golden holographic glitter polish.  Sabrina is VERY sparkly.  The base is clear, so it would take quite a few coats to build this up on it's own, if at all.  I chose to layer Sabrina over 2 coats of Zoya Piaf, a pale, creamy, shimmery yellow.  I then only needed 1 coat of Sabrina for maximum holo-sparkle effect.  The formula and application were both great.  I used 1 layer of topcoat.

This is Lonely Is the Night and it's a very pretty "dark blue jelly with fine blue and black holographic glitters."  I loved the color and the sparkle factor!  LITN had a formula that was a tad thick, but it wasn't difficult to use.  I'd suggest using a touch of thinner if you feel yours is also thick.  I used 2 coats and had a little visible nail line showing.  If I added a third coat it likely would have disappeared.  I used 1 layer of topcoat.

Kelara Lacquers Part 2

I had 6 gorgeous Kelara Lacquers to show you and this is the 2nd part.  Part 1 is the "solid" colors, part 2 is the "glitters."  If you missed Part 1 you can see it here!  Kelara Lacquers is a 3-free and cruelty free indie brand.  There are already several collections available on kelaralacquers.com and the variety in the selection is really awesome!  Aside from purchasing directly on the website, you can also purchase from the Etsy store.  And be sure to follow Kelara Lacquers on Facebook!

The first glitter I have to share is Hoodoo Man from the latest collection Sweet Home Chicago.  This collection is inspired by the Blues scene in Kelara hometown Chicago.  Hoodoo Man is specifically inspired by harmonica player Junior Wells.  I believe you can get Hoodoo Man to fully cover your nails in 4 coats, but I chose to layer it over a similar base color - Essence Gabriella.  I then used 2 coats of Hoodoo Man, which is full of bright neon pink, blue and green glitters.  It's an awesome combination!  Application was easy and I got great glitter payoff.  The glitters are a tad textured so I used one coat of Gelous and my nails were smooth to the touch.

Up next is Mojo Workin', another polish from the Sweet Home Chicago collection.  Mojo Workin' is inspired by the legendary Muddy Waters.  Mojo Workin' is a gorgeous sheer blue jelly base full of aqua, green, pink and holo glitters.  It was a lovely formula with lots of glitter payoff.  I used 2 coats and the glitter spread easily on my nails and laid flat.  I chose 2 colors to show off Mojo Workin'; Orly Liquid Vinyl (black) and Orly Blue Collar (dusty medium blue) as my accent nail.  It turned out very blingtastic!  I used 1 coat of Gelous for smooth nails.

And lastly I have Mother Earth 2.0 from The Colors For A Cause 2.0 Collection.  All the colors in this collection benefit amazing causes.  Mother Earth 2.0 has $2 from each sale going to The World Resources Institute.  Check out other polishes from The Colors For A Cause 2.0 Collection to see what causes are being supported.     Mother Earth 2.0 is described as a "cinnamon and pink glitters" in a clear base.  This is a very heavy glitter polish and I loved it!  There are tons of hexs and the gold micro glitter makes it almost a full coverage polish on it's own.  I had no problems with formula or application.  I used 2 coats over ManGlaze Santorum (brown) and OPI Elephantastic Pink on my accent nail.  1 coat of Gelous for smooth, shiny nails.
