February 2020 PPU & IPU: Flora & Fauna

Afternoon y'all!  It's been a fairly unproductive Wednesday for me.  Had to take the baby to the doctor (he's ok) then decided to get a spur of the moment pedi.  But it wasn't really spur of the moment because I was in jeans and tennis shoes and didn't have any of my own polishes to take so I made a stop at home first to remedy all those problems.  I guess I'm embracing Spring, even though it's my least favorite season, and went with a soft, shimmery, shifty pink.  But you're here to find out about the upcoming PPU and IPU!  February is Flora & Fauna themed...good theme for Valentine's Day and Spring!  The nice thing is that you're not just going to get bombarded with pinks and purples (thank GAWD).  I'm seeing blues and greens and grey and even a yellow and orange!  The Pickups will be open from 2/7 - 2/10.  Don't forget to shop early to get those capped items you really want!

November 2019 Polish Pickup: Fairy Tales

Hullo hullo there lovelies!  It's almost time for the November Polish & Indie Pickup! So far I have been thrilled with the Fall-month themes and November didn't disappoint.  Fairy Tales is full of stunning shades and cool products and scents that sound amazing! October 2019 Polish Pickup: Urban Legends

Good morning, happy Wednesday.  I have a kid away at Science Camp and I'm already missing him.  Funny how my kids make me so crazy but once they are away from me for a hot minute I'm like boo hoo, sad mama bear!  He comes back on Friday afternoon so I will treat him to a lunch out before we pick up all his siblings.  You know what else happens on Friday?  Polish Pickup!  The October theme is Urban Legends and it's pretty fun.  I didn't realize there were so many urban legends floating around!  Urban Legends Polish Pickup is open 10/4 - 10/7, set your alarm so you can snag the ones with a cap!  Let's check out the lovely ones I have to share with you today.

September 2019 Polish Pickup: Magic & Alchemy

Good morning!  Hope you enjoyed your Monday off, or at least a low key work day.  My fam-bam did nothing but laze around the house and hang out.  Though we did leave for dinner and enjoyed some live music. So Tuesday is kind of like Monday this week. The kids are back to school today and I'm jumping on the old bloggy blog to share some upcoming products that will be available in the PPU this month!  The theme for the month is Magic & Alchemy and I've seen some real beauties with the blogger previews!  The Pickups will be open from 9/6 - 9/9.  Let's jump in and see what I've got to share.

August 2019 Polish Pickup: At the Carnival

Good afternoon!  I'm just getting back to regular after a vacation with the family.  Vacations are so fun, but the packing and traveling is so tiresome.  Especially when I have to pack myself and 4 kids.  That's why it's nice to take day trips to close by events like festivals and carnivals.  Speaking of carnivals, that is the theme for August, At the Carnival and it's open 8/2 - 8/5.  If you haven't browesd the albums in the Facebook group yet you should totally do so and the site is open so get over there and make your wishlist!  There are loads of amazing shades coming out. July 2019 Polish Pickup; The After Party

And now for something new and different!  The Pickups are closed but now we get The After Party!  Each brand participating in July was able to select 2 (TWO) of their most popular sellers and bring them both back.  The PPU shades are gone now thou so if you missed them, you missed them.  Your last chance to snag beautiful polish from the past is on now!  You can shop The After Party at each individual shop.  I will share anything I have previously swatched and link you directly to the site.  Without further adieu, The After Party!!

July 2019 Polish Pickup; Flashback

Hey hey hey!  Popping up from my busy "kids staying at home because it's summer" mom life.  But don't worry your little heads, I have been swatching up a storm and have lots to show you in the next weeks.  But right now the most important thing is the July Polish Pickup.  If you remember last year you know that July is a Rewind of sorts - a Flashback to the fan favorites.  How were these chosen you ask?   Well, these were all voted on in the private Facebook fan groups and now you will have a chance to snatch up those ever popular ones that sold out too fast, or that you waffled on for too long and the site closed (I have a few of them).  But this year it's a bit different.  1 Flashback shade will be available on the PPU site and a second shade will be available on the individual brand sites, the After Party - I'll put those in a separate post. You heard that right, each brand has TWO (2) retuning polishes!  IPU is in on the fun also with returning favorites.  The Pickups are open 7/5 - 7/8!  I will share whatever I have pictures and past posts for....SO...let's check out what's coming back! *press sample*

May 2019 Polish Pickup & Indie Pickup; The 80's

Hulllllo!  Can you believe it's time for another Polish Pickup?!  The May theme is The 80s so as you guessed, there are lots of neon and vibrant colors, lots of nods to childhood cartoons and music.  I really enjoyed swatching this set because they are all such fun colors!  You'll be able to shop The Pickups 5/3 - 5/6.  I won't waste any time since you probably want to get your wishlist ready for tomorrow morning!

Hello!  Happy New Year!  2019, I have big personal plans for you...getting my pre-baby body back, getting back to the fitness level I was at, back to the gym, better eating habits, decluttering my life, and basically just finding a family/self balance.  So what type of resolution(s) do you have for yourself?  

Since it's January, it means the new PPU an IPU is here! Both will be open from 1/4 - 1/7 and have loads of great stuff.  The theme for the month is Mythology.  I've always loved Mythology and it was one of my favorite topics in History classes.  But this month I am doing things differently, instead of individual posts for each polish or item I have to review I am going to put them all in 1 giant post.  I feel it will be easier for you to find and keep track of items you want to earmark for later.  Let me know in the comments if you prefer 1 big post or several individual posts.

Dreamland Lacquer November Polish Pickup Exclusive: Queen of the Iceni

Afternoon!  I'm watching more Halloween movies, putting together baby things and eating leftovers for lunch.  I made homemade meatballs and they were really darn good - the kids also ate way more than I was expecting and I only had 2 tiny little meatballs left over.  So I'm back again today with another PPU post!  Are you in the know yet for the November theme?  It's Badass Women and I love where the makers took this!  Real and made up characters alike are getting their due respect.  Dreamland Lacquer was inspired by Boudicca, Celtic Queen of the Iceni.  She's basically a badass Queen that led a rebellion against Rome and their attempted take over of her land.  Artist renditions of her really give her that "I'll kick your ass and take you down" look and it's awesome!  You will be able to purchase Queen of the Iceni from 11/2 - 11/5 for $12, no cap.  Let's jump in, shall we?

Lollipop Posse Lacquer November Polish Pickup Exclusive: My Heart Is Like The Ocean

KBShimmer November Polish Pickup Exclusive: Some Like It Scot

Morning friends!  Man, I am tired.  Yesterday was a long and exhausting day with an ambulance ride to the ER and 9 stitches in my middle little's leg.  Chunk of glass - 1, Julian - 0.  Definitely hope that's the last time I have to call an ambulance for any of my kids.  I was up all night helping him as adrenaline and meds wore off so as you can imaging, this hugely pregnant mama is wiped out and fighting a headache.  But that will not deter me from starting to share the November PPU shades I have to share with you.  November's theme is Badass Women and it covers real and made up characters.  The first polish I have to share with you is KBShimmer's Some Like It Scot, inspired by Claire Fraser from Outlander.  If you haven't read the books I highly suggest you do, they are a rich blend of history, fantasy and romance.  The show is great too but it does skip parts from the book - might be hard to follow if you haven't already read them.  Always, Claire is this badass time traveler who is a doctor/healer and a woman who can totally take care of herself!  You can pick up Some Like It Scot for $10, available from 11/2 - 11/5.  Let's jump in and check it out!
