Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer October Polish Pickup Exclusive: Scarlet Flame

Evening!  It's been a busy Friday for me so this is the first chance I've had to sit down and get this last post up to share with you.  I spent the week prepping you for the opening of the Polish Pickup and that happened this morning.  Have you ordered yet?  If you have that's ok, you can place another order and get a refund on shipping.  I only say this because you will probably want to purchase this vampy beauty by Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer!  Scarlet Flame is a fabulous magnetic polish that was inspired by Smaug from The Hobbit.  You have the potion to purchase this with or without a magnet, but I suggest you get the magnet, it's one of the bar magnets that is very strong and works well.  You should probably act quickly though because even though Scarlet Flame is available until 10/8, there is a 175 bottle cap (100 without magnet for $13 or 75 with magnet for $15)!  Let's delve in to the post quickly so you can make some important life decisions!

Alter Ego, Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra; August 2017 Polish Pick Up

Afternoon all!  It's not as hot of a day today, thankfully.  Sitting in the sun during swim lessons has been wearing me out!  Today we are headed to the local farm team baseball game!  Woot, go San Jose Giants!  I also get today was a good day to start sharing the Polish Pick Up shades I have!  The August Polish Pick Up theme is Old Hollywood!  I've been perusing pics of the polishes and they are all amazing!  Alter Ego provided a polish this month and it's inspired by Elizabeth Taylor's portrayal of Cleopatra.  Super glamorous and opulent!  The starlets these days could take notes on class and glamour from these old school Hollywood sirens.  But I digress...Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra is gorgeous shade that'll be available from 8/4-8/7.  Check out my pictures below!

OPI Luxurious, Indulgence and Lynnderella Punkkin Pie

Good morning all!  Taking a step back from blue polish (I've been posting a lot of it haven't I?) and bringing you a gorgeous combination of red, orange and glitter!  I am a true red-orange lover and I basically adore any glitter combination that is Fall themed.  So these OPI DS colors and the Lynnderella glitter were right up my alley!  The great news is that all 3 of these colors are available right now.  OPI is available at many beauty supply stores and you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram (opi_products).  Lynnderella polish is available at lynnderella.com.  You can follow Love Lynnderella on Facebook and Instagram (lovelynnderella).

I started this with OPI DS Indulgence on my thumb, index and pinky.  This is from the Fall 2012 collection and you know how I love anything Fall themed.  Well this is gorgeous.  Indulgence is a pink-red shade with heavy gold shimmer.  It's borderline metallic finish!  It had amazing application and formula.  I had rich color and full coverage in 2 coats.  I then sponged OPI DS Luxurious on the tips of those same fingers.  Luxurious is one of those "on fire" shades that I simply adore.   It's an orange-red with heavy gold shimmer.  Again it has a metallic type finish.  It applied easily and I had really great coverage considering I used a sponge to apply it!  Then I put OPI Espresso Your Style on my middle and ring fingers.  EYS is a chocolatey brown with shimmer.  I used 2 coats for full coverage and it's a very pretty shade but you can barely see it under Lynnderella Punkkin Pie!  Punkkin Pie is a fun Fall glitter mix with hearts, moons and stars in a heavy shimmered, yellow tinted base that was released in the Thanksgiving 2013 Twinset.  It's a pretty mix of colors and glitter shapes.  I wish the shimmer was a bit lighter, but on the positive I have a feeling 3 coats could provide full coverage on it's own!  I used 2 coats and application was great.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.
