Lumina Lacquer Quicksand

Good afternoon lovelies.  Hope your Wednesday is going well, mine is just ok.  I am really just ready for school to be over.  The last day can't come soon enough.  It's getting harder and harder to wake up to get my kids there on time, my kids are overly-excited for Summer and have been getting in trouble more than usual.  I'll admit it seems to be the story for a lot of kids right now, but this mom is OVAH IT.  I'm ready for beach days, summer camp, swim lessons, vacations.  Clearly my kids are too.  Alas, 10 days to go.  So to pass the time I'll continue to blog lovely polish for you to oogle.  Today's post features a new holo micro glitter from Lumina Lacquer.  You KNOW Tatiana knocks this type of polish out of the park and this one is absolutely amazing!  Ok, yes I am biased because I love a good copper polish, but hello copper holo microglitter!  Win Win Win!  Quicksand is currently stocked in the shop and you can get a bottle of your own for $9.  So with that info provided let's look at pictures!

Quicksand is a "superholo copper glitter in clear base."  So so pretty and so so blingy.  This is much like others made by Lumina Lacquer - Maleficent, Frosting, Mystic and Spaced Out.  It's also got a formula just like those, totally packed with glitter and built for full coverage on it's own.  If you haven't tried any of these before you might find the polish thick, but it's just filled to the brim with glitter.  I found the formula easy to apply and was able to get full coverage with 2 coats of Quicksand.  I finished with a nice layer of topcoat for a smooth finish.

Red Dog Designs Besame Mucho

Morning polish friends!  Today I'm showing off a polish that came out for Valentine's Day but it's so purty you can wear it all the time!  This is Red Dog Designs Besame Mucho (I totally hear the song in my head when I say the name).  Besame Mucho is from the Ol' Blue Eyes Collection and Gina describes it as, "purple shimmer based, with purple, rose copper and copper glitters in various sizes and microfine pink holo glitter."  It's so very pretty and shimmery!  It can be worn alone and as a glitter topper and in this post I'll show you both ways!  Red Dog Designs can be found at reddogdesigns.bigcartel.com, Facebook and Instagram (rddogdesigns).

For this mani I started with 2 coats of Laka #12, a light pink-purple creme.  If you haven't heard of the brand yet there are "kiosks" popping up in malls called Laka Manicure Express.  Quick, inexpensive manicures and tons of pretty nail polish, mostly cremes!  But more importantly the best hand scrub and land lotion I have ever tried.  I am head over heels for the Hand Peeling and Hand Cream.  Go try it!  #12 applied great, it was easy flowing and not streaky at all.  I used 2 coats of #12.  Then I sponged 1 coat of Besame Mucho on my nail tips.  Besame Mucho is such a gorgeous blend of colors - I think it would look great over nude, deep purple, pink holo, everything!  I used 1 layer of topcoat to finish this up.

Here's Besame Mucho all on it's own!  Totally different look right?  Almost a metallic finish with lots of sparkle and shimmer.  I used 2 coats and had great coverage.  There is still a tiny bit of visible nail line but I bet with another coat that would dissapear.  1 layer of topcoat and I had a smooth to the touch finish.

Hillbilly Love Lacquer Buckshot

Sorry for having fallen off the radar for a bit.  My house was in some desperate need of TLC and I just couldn't take the mess any longer.  So now that it's clean I can expect my 3 little tornadoes to have it in disarray within mere hours.  Anywho - today I bring you Hillbilly Love Lacquer Buckshot.  I've enjoyed all the Hillbilly polishes but this was my favorite of the ones sent to me for review.

Buckshot is described as "A lovely dark vintage grey blue with fine and superfine copper glitter."  On the nose!  I found it intriguing how the base color of this polish was in fact grey but I could always see just a tinge of blue!  It is very lovely and unique.  The copper glitter really play well against the steel grey color and added a nice dimension to the polish as a whole.  Application was nice and easy and I had full coverage with 2 coats.  I used 1 layer of topcoat for a shiny finish.

I quite enjoyed Hillbilly Love Lacquer and look forward to what other polishes Alisa comes up with!  I recently saw an LE she posted on Facebook that was gorgeous!  So be sure to follow the Facebook page for product updates and specials like that!  Otherwise you can purchase Hillbilly Love Lacquer on etsy!  Happy shopping!

As always, be sure to give me a Like on Facebook too!
