Alter Ego Nail Enamel Spam Post!

Good afternoon!  I'm completely frazzled this week preparing for my daughter's 3rd birthday party this weekend!  I mean aren't these events supposed to be fun and easy?  I have so much to do still I am totally stressed out.  I know it's all in my own head and she wouldn't care if we served hot dogs and chips or cardboard pizza, but I care.  Sigh.  At least I have pretty polish to play with, it truly is soothing to paint my nails.  I have this post full of gorgeous Alter Ego Nail Enamel polishes for you to check out.  Have you tried this brand yet?  Cynthia is a total sweetheart and has a real eye for making lovely blends of color, shimmer and glitter.  So let's jump in and oooh and awww together shall we?  I used Alter Ego She Shines Topcoat for all the pictures.

Up first we have Penny Pincher.  Penny Pincher is a coppery orange color that is packed full of golden shimmer.  It really sparkles in the sun - just look at it!  I used 3 thin coats for full coverage.  I suggest waiting for each layer to dry completely before moving on to the next.  Penny Pincher dries to a matte finish so I used 1 layer of topcoat.

Plumber is another true beauty!  This is a dusty blurple full of purple and fuchsia shimmer.  GAH is so pretty!  I used 3 thin coats, waiting for each layer to dry completely.  Plumber dries with a matte finish so I used 1 layer of topcoat to shine things up and bring out the gorgeous shimmer.

Beach Comber, what can I say about this one?  It's the absolute perfect shade of turquoise to make you feel like you are on vacation in some exotic destination.  Beach Comber also has that monotone look going on - with the base and shimmer matching.  I love that!  I used 3 thin coats, waiting for each to dry.  Beach Comber dries to a matte finish so I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.  *Beach Comber is no longer available, but has been replaced by Beach Comber Too! which is equally gorgeous and nearly identical!*

Vinter is a lovely glitter topper full of purple, green and a few pink glitters.  Vinter applied easily with  plenty of glitter coming out with each dip.  I used 2 coats of Vinter over Beach Comber.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Makes Sense of Scents is a beautiful purple that site between lilac and lavender.  It's got a nice helping of beautiful blue and pink shimmer.  I used 3 thin coats, letting each dry completely before the next.  Makes Sense of Scents dries to a matte finish so I used 1 layer of topcoat.

And lastly we have Prize Fighter, inspired by the theme from Rocky, it's a "black base with small metallic turquoise glitter, royal blue metallic stripe glitter and small metallic purple glitter."  Prize Fighter was pretty opaque, it was almost a 1 coater!  But to ensure that I had an even hand in painting I went over it with a 2nd coat.  The glitters don't get lost in the black base and come out in abundance.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.
