Good evening beauties. I'm excited to share this post with you because it's full of fantastic colors and finishes for the Summer season. When I think of the Summer, I think hot weather, dips in the pool, vacation to a tropical paradise, bbq's in the backyard. KBShimmer's Summer collection is inspired by similar ideas; the beach, cool drinks, and time with friends! Loving the ideas behind these polishes because there's really no better time to sit back and relax, soaking up the good life. The Summer collection launches tomorrow, 6/1. Each polish will be $9.25. So since this post is pretty large let's not dilly dally and jump right in!
KBShimmer: Shop, Harlow & Co, Live Love Polish, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest
Let's start with the shimmers! Mai Tai One On is a soft lemonade with shimmery glints of gold and green. I did find this one a touch streaky and needed 3 coats to even it out. Otherwise the formula was nice and the color is fantastic. I finished with topcoat.
Good Reef! is a light peachy coral with blue shimmer. Love this color, it's going to be so gorgeous once I have a dark tan! This one was also a bit streaky when I applied it, I needed 4 coats to fully in it out. I'd suggest starting with a similar base color and then layering it. But if you don't want to the polish definitely doesn't build up thick, so 4 coats was just fine. I finished with topcoat.
Suit The Breeze is a periwinkle blue with shimmery pink and violet micro flakes. This polish is unique and beautiful. I totally love it. I also found it less streaky than the last two which made me a happy camper. I used 3 coats and topcoat.
Moving on to the crellies! This milky white crelly is called Neon Me and it's packed with matte neon circle shaped glitters. Formula and application were both fantastic! The glitters came out easily, spread well and smoothed out perfectly. I used 3 coats and topcoat.
Don't Play Koi is a slightly greyed out white that has coral, aqua and grey hex glitters. This is a lovely mix of colors, it reminds me of my blog accents actually! Formula and application were both great. I used 3 coats for full coverage and topcoat.
Moving along to the cremes! Playing With The Bouys is a soft green mint with blue undertones. It reminds me of that beautiful color of sea glass. It's a fabulous formula that applies like a dream. I used 2 coats for perfect coverage and no topcoat.
Ready For A Good Lime is a soft lime green creme. This one is a unique color, it sits somewhere between neon and sun bleached. I know I don't have another shade quite like this! Formula and appellation were both stellar. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
How Low Can You Flamingo? is my favorite of the collection. I have it on right now as I type. Sitting in the shade and admiring my glowing hot pink nails! Formula and application were smooth and creamy. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
We've got a couple holos too! That's Nude To Me is a pink tones nude with subtle linear holo and platinum shimmer. Oh man I do love a nude holo and this one is breathtaking! Ok so this is also one of my favorites (I'm so predictable aren't I?). But how could you not love this sandy beachy color? Formula was just a little sheer but application was fabulous. 2 coats and topcoat.
Along For The Tide is an inky blue polish jan packed with shimmery micro flecks that shift from pink to violet and blue to purple. It's also a holo! HOLLA! I do love a vibrant blue and this one is pretty intense! Formula and application were both aces. I used 2 coats and topcoat.
The last finishes in this collection are metallic flakies! One Night Sand is a coppery-rose goldish metallic flake polish with some holo. Wow this is blingy and shiny and looks like I dipped my nails in liquid metal then rolled them in liquid flakes. Formula was awesome. Smooth application, smooth finish. I used 2 coats for full coverage and topcoat.
And last but not least is Gull, Get Real!. It's a light grey-toned lilac purple full of dazzling sparkles of holo and metallic micro flakes. Another stunning color with a fantastic finish. Formula and application were both amazing. I used 2 coats and a layer of topcoat.
