Makeup Review: Milk Makeup

Good morning!   I can't believe it's December 5th!  I am so behind on all the stuff I need to do!  Shop for presents, cookie ingredients, bake cookies, mail out Christmas cards...I don't even have a tree yet! Argh!  I just watched Bad Moms Christmas and I totally relate - Christmas is so stressful, there is so much pressure to make and do everything perfectly.  Makes me dislike the holiday - guess I can't shake that Grinch vibe this year, oh well.  Something that makes me feel less Grinchy is playing with new makeup.  I have purchased a few Milk Makeup items in the past and saw they were a featured brand on Haute Look recently so I took the discounted opportunity to get some more things to give a try!  Let's jump in and check out what I purchased...but I will say that I liked them all and will absolutely buy more products from this brand!

Morgan Taylor; Platinum Collection

Afternoon friends!  It's actually still morning here but it's close enough.  Sadly it's pretty overcast here today, lots of clouds a few sprinkles.  But the other day had some nice sunshine so I jumped on the opportunity to swatch these gorgeous holos from Morgan Taylor.  The Platinum collection launched a few months back but it's always a great time for holos, especially the Summer sun is bright and hot!  So if you haven't picked up this collection yet there's no better time than now.  You can pick up the Platinum Collection now for $11.99 each.  Let's jump in and check out some holo!

Born Pretty: Silver Holographic Nail Polish

Evening dears!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Mind didn't entail too much excitement.  A break from soccer games, but that meant an upswing in house cleaning.  Thankfully the whole family was involved so it went pretty fast.  I did get lots of swatching done so I'll be bombarding you with posts in the coming weeks (YAY!).  Let's start with a Born Pretty post!  I haven't tried too many polishes from Born Pretty, actually I think this one is my first!  I picked out a fabulous silver holo and I was taken back to the heyday of the ultra linear holos!  Loved it!  There are several shades of the holo polish available and they are great for stamping too!  You can pick up silver or any of the other Born Pretty colors of the Holographic Stamping Polish now for $5.59 HERE.  You can save 10% using my code JTOW10. Let's jump in and check it out.

Summer of Untrieds Day 24: Holographic

Good morning lovelies!  I have a fantabulous gold holo to share with you on day 24 of the Summer of Untrieds challenge!  This beauty hails from Glitter Daze, and I am completely loving this brand!  I'm so glad I had a chance to try it out as well as to meet the super sweet maker Sana.  I've already been on her website creating up a wish list of more Glitter Daze that I want to get my grabby hands on!  Now there is still a week left of the challenge and you can participate.  All you need to do is post a picture of your mani on Facebook or Instagram and use #summerofuntriedschallenge, #julyuntriedchallenge and #wishesofablueeyedgirl.

This amazing golden holographic polish is called High Rollers Club.  It's a really awesome metallic-foily gold in shaded light, then you move into the sun and BAM!  Super gold holo!  It's such a rich and luxurious color, the name is so perfectly fitted.  High Rollers Club was created specially for bloggers and Daze of the Month Subscribers.  The formula and application of High Rollers Club were both awesome.  I used 3 coats and no topcoat.

Girly Bits Lack Of Pies

Good afternoon!  Hope Monday is going swimmingly for you!  My kids are back in school but I am as busy as usual.  This post is about a stunning Girly Bits polish that I swooned over for ages!  I am so happy that I have this and I literally stared at my nails for 2 days checking out all the color shift.  It is totally fabulous and if you don't have any Girly Bits yet (or don't have this particular one) you need it.  Seriously, need.  So this post is picture heavy, I tried my hardest to capture as much color shift as possible.  Hope you don't mind the overload.

Lack of Pies is a fabulous "holographic, multi-chrome stunner which shifts from lime green to deep moss, to purple, to gold."  Pam suggests that you can use Lack Of Pies alone in 3 coats or 1 coat over black.  I went with wearing it alone and I am seriously in love with this polish.  The holo effect as well as the multi-chrome effect were both very strong and neither overshadowed the other.  I used 3 coats of Lack Of Pies for perfect coverage and color depth.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Jade Uau!

I think it's pretty well know that I love holo.  I also love orange.  There isn't much to say here except that Jade Uau! is a fantastic polish!  It's a bright orange linear holo that reaches full coverage in 2 coats. I had zero application problems.  I have really come to love the Jade holos - they are truly awesome when it comes to formula and wow factor.  I've said it before and I'll say it again...I can not wait to get this color on my tanned toes this summer!  I almost put glitter on an accent nail and just couldn't bring myself to do it...the holo is that spectacular that I didn't want to diminish it.  I used 1 layer of topcoat and thankfully it doesn't effect the holo goodness.  By the way - I do not know why my ring finger decided to be so wonky for these pictures so sorry about that.

You can find Jade Uau! and other fantastic Jade polishes at Ninja Polish, Llarowe and Color4Nails.
