786 Cosmetics; Jakarta, Isfahan & Pretoria

Sigh.  I'm sitting over here equally looking forward to and dreading tomorrow.  First day back to school.  I am happy to get some quiet time, but I will miss having the kids at home to hang out with.  I'm also not looking forward to early wake up times.  Even though they do drive me a bit nuts, they are good company and we have plenty of good times together.  I am nervous because 2/3 are starting a new school.  I hope they find people to sit with for lunch, find people to talk to in class, play with on the playground.  I know they will be find and I am just being a worrisome Mama Bear.  I'm currently prepping the requested luncheon menu for next week - musubi.  I am not sure how long they will last but at least they don't take too much work to prepare.  While I wait for the spam to marinate in the sauce I figured I'd share my latest swatches.  These hail from 786 Cosmetics.  I have reviewed this brand before and I am impressed with their formula, color line up and message - being inclusive to all cultures and celebrating all beauty.  786 Cosmetics makes nail polish that is vegan, breathable and halal friendly. You can see my previous post HERE.  Tonights post features 3 gorgeous purples; Jakarta, Isfahan and Pretoria. You can pick them all up now for $12.95.

ellagee August Polish Pickup Exclusive: Superstar

Evening friends!  Thursday night is such a teaser, so close to Friday but so far from the weekend!  I have another PPU post to share with you today, this one is from ellagee. Laura was inspired by Jesus Christ Superstar.  I know this is one of the classic musicals (along with Cats, Hair, Le Mis) but I have never seen it (or any of those others I mentioned), for shame. So this purple beauty is Superstar!  You'll be able to purchase Superstar from 8/3 - 8/6 for $11, no cap.  Now let's head in and check it out!

Sweet Heart Polish Love Potion & Frosted Sugar Cookie

Happy Valentine's Day!  Do you have big plans?  I don't really...just dinner date with the hubster, thankfully we have a sitter so it'll be quiet time and we can actually hear each other talk!  I know many think of this as a "Hallmark holiday" but I enjoy the sentiment behind it and the extra romance it brings, so I'll take it thankyouverymuch.  Today I have a couple lovely polishes from Sweet Heart polish to share, both are perfect for Valentine's Day and beyond!  Both Love Potion and Frosted Sugar Cookie are LE and single pour batches but they are still available in the shop so go forth and buy all the polish!  And now let's look at pictures!

Smitten Polish Exclusives: Elixir, Smitten by Your Beauty & Endless Sunset

It's afternoon time.  The day is almost over - go away Wednesday I don't like you.  But I do like Smitten Polish!  So this post makes my day much better.  What I've got here for you are Smitten exclusives to a few international online shops.  I managed to get my greedy hands on them and I'm pretty darn happy I did.  So let's jump in and check out these awesome shades Noelie created for her stockists.

Up first I have Hypnotic Polish Elixir.  Elixir is described as a "dark teal green...jelly with 2 sizes of holographic glitter." This is a really beautiful shade of green.  It slightly reminds me of a sea-green, something sparkly like mermaid scales.  As usual Noelie knocked this out of the park.  The addition of the holographic glitters makes Elixir a real stunner.  The formula and application were on par with all the Smittens I have ever worn, totally perfect.  I used 2 coats of Elixir and 1 layer of topcoat.

Next is Smitten By Your Beauty which is available at Beauty So Fly.  Smitten By Your Beauty is described as a "deep plum base with suuuper sparkly holo blue glitters and blue and gold flakes!"  Wow!  First off I didn't add all those "u's" - they were truly in the description on the listing.  Second, this is a totally swoon worthy shade of plum!  I sound like broken record but again, fantastic formula and application.  Noelie has her formulation down to a science and it's just perfect.  I used 2 costs of Smitten By Your Beauty and 1 layer of topcoat.

Endless Sunset...yes I saved my favorite for last.  This is from Edgy Polish and is described as "a peachy orange jelly base, packed full of bright holographic glitter!"  I am a total sucker for these bright peach/apricot/orange shades.  Actually I think I might have a problem because I'm constantly on a mission to own them all.  Endless Sunset is full of those fabulous super fine holo micro glitters that Noelie loves (and that I now love as well and can't get enough micro glitter) that make is so sparkly yet in a delicate way.  I also see some pink sparkles in there too which make it even prettier!  Once again, phenomenal formula and application.  I used 3 thin coats of Endless Sunset for full coverage and finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

OPI Muir Muir On The Wall

Hi there lovelies!  Are you ready for Fall colors yet?  I sure am!  I've always loved the Fall.  Fall means news boots, soup and stew, cute sweaters and gorgeous colors!  This upcoming season is no different with rich and warm jewel tones and toasty colors.  You even start to see the vampy winter colors popping up.  So yeah, Fall is my favorite.  Let's take a look at one of the nice deep colors I recently purchased to celebrate the coming Fall!

This is OPI Muir Muir On The Wall.  It's from the Fall 2013 San Francisco collection.  I only have one other color from this collection, Alcartaz…Rocks, you can see that post HERE.  Unlike the trendy Alcatraz…Rocks, MMOTW is a classic beauty.  One that I can see myself reaching for consistently despite the season.   MMOTW is a plumy reddish color.  You can also see some brown tones in there in certain lighting.  It's a really gorgeous polish.  I found the formula to be a tad sheer/thin.  In some photos you can see how my nail tips didn't fully get covered.  Other than the sheerness of the polish there was nothing else going on that would deter me from using the polish again.  I used 2 coats but would use 3 for the next time I wear it.  1 layer of topcoat to finish the mani.
