KBShimmer Blogger Collection 2017

Evening all!  Sorry for not getting this post up earlier today, had some things happen with a friend and then my kid and blah.  Can this week of sads be over?   I'm feeling much better now that I'm getting time to work on this post (because these polishes are Ah-May-Zing!), I'm drinking a hard cider and eating pizza from my pizza oven.  Ok ok ok, so let's talk the KBShimmer Blogger Collection.  It's awesome, it's huge, don't ask me to pick favorites because I'm a mom (haha).  Here's what you need to know.  The Blogger Collection will be available at The Indie Shop tomorrow, 10/13, in San Antonio.  It will also be available online tomorrow, or midnight?  They will be $9.25 each.  Alright, this is large and in charge post so let's jump in.

Ok, I'm starting with my polish! Squeeeeee! Guys, I was excited to be part of this collaboration!  So many amazing bloggers, such an awesome indie maker!  All around an amazing experience. My polish is I Don't Want No Shrubs and it's a bright fuchsia pink full of micro golden flakies and shimmer.  I was inspired by the vibrant flowers that are in my yard almost year round!  Awesome formula and application. I used 3 thin coats for full coverage and topcoat to finish.

Michelle from ehmkay nails was inspired by her home, New York, lit up during the holidays.  High-Rise to the Occasion is steel high rises, twinkling holiday lights, violet glow of the LED screens and signs everywhere.  That was all captured in this amazing polish!  It's a grey crelly full of soft violet shimmer and pops of rainbow metallic flakes.  So fashionable!  Great formula and application, 3 coats and topcoat used.

Oh My Gourd is an awesome creamy butterscotch shade that is fall perfection.  It's inspired by caramel apples, butterscotch, changing leaves, gourds.  This shade is going to perfectly match your favorite Autumn sweater and boot combo.  Great formula and application, 2 coats and no topcoat needed.

Stop and Smell the Rose was created because Christy is OBSESSED with rose gold.  She has all the things, phones, jewelry, wine!  I'm pretty dang fond of it too so I'm all on board with this beauty. This soft pink, near copper linear holo had a lovely formula and applied easily.  I used 3 coats and no topcoat.

Lisa from Cosmetic Sanctuary created Lady and the Vamp.  It's a deep, vampy burgundy red-plum with the signature KBShimmer Mega Flame finish.  Super vampy, super sparkly, super gorgeous.  Fantastic formula, great application.  2 coats and topcoat used.

Northern Frights is a shift polish that shows off emerald green, indigo, purple, and navy with some  holo flakes in there too!  It was created by Judy from Beauty Judy and she was inspired by the dark night sky and the beautiful shades you see in the Northern Lights.  Formula and application were both as amazing as the color.  I used 2 coats and topcoat.

Pictures in different lighting and angles to show off the shifty colors!

Pun-kin Spice Latte is a terracotta, pumpkin-ish shade of orange filled with copper shimmer. Valesha from Peachy Polish came up with this one (and how cute is it that she stuck with her peach theme?!) and was inspired by a slew of photos including a copper tub and terra-cotta pot.  It's a great Fall color and the shimmer gives it a nice, pretty effect.  Great formula and application.  I used 3 layers and topcoat.

Holly from Miss Holly Berries was inspired by the deep olive green shades in the forest and yellows and oranges of the Autumn leaves.  This beautiful olive jelly full of shifty flakies is called #squadghouls.  I really dig this murky shade of green, it's very reminiscent of a scary movie setting and perfect for Halloween.  Formula was great, application was easy.  And I didn't notice that one bald spot on my pinky until I was making this post so DERP on me - user error.  3 coats plus topcoat.

Here's Better Lake Than Never.  It was created by Alicia from Delicious Nails.  Loving this beautiful jewel toned teal leaning blue full of holo glow flakes and turquoise shimmer.  It was inspired by several photos featuring lovely shades of blue, teal and turquoise.  Nice formula and application.  3 coats and topcoat.

Olive or Twist is a deep olive color with holo glow flakies.  This one was created by Mishra from Nail It Lovely.  She was inspired by rich gold tones and soothing shades of olive.  I do love me a good olive green and this one is a beaut!  Of course the formula and application were top notch.  I used 2 coats and topcoat.

Who's ready for a gorgeous brown?!  Me me me!  So let's look at Espresso Yourself.  It's a rich brown shade full of copper and gold holo micro glitters in a finish close to the Mega Flame finish. Gaby from Lacquerloon created this lovely polish and she was inspired by rich chocolate, warm coffee, glimmering shades of brown, copper, and gold.  I always forget how much I love brown polishes.  The formula was great, the application was great. I used 2 coats for full coverage and a layer of topcoat to ensure a smooth finish.

The name of this one makes me LOL.  Let's Fang Out was created by Sam from Sam Nailed It and it's a deep burgundy-plum creme inspired by some a picture of some lips in the same shade.  Hello you sexy vamp! This shade is a staple for anyone's polish collection, trust me, you need this color in your arsenal because it works for Fall, Winter and super sexy date nights in the Summer.  Awesome formula and application.  I used 2 coats and no topcoat.

Peach for the Sky was created by Antoinette from aricedotcom.  She was inspired by autumn leaves against a turquoise sky and thus this beautiful soft sky blue polish falloff peachy copper shimmer was created.  The shimmer looks so great against the blue base!  Formula and application were both nice.  Smooth, even, full coverage in 3 coats.  I finished with topcoat.

Phew, I made it to the end...you still hanging with me on this long winded post?  Ok, the final polish I have for you tonight is Pearls Gone Wild.  It's a super sparkly silver-ish polish filled with micro and small holo glitters, red shimmer that shifts to copper, gold and pink. This one was created by Amy from McPolish and she was inspired by photos of nature; softly glowing starry sky, shimmering opals, natural stones.  So beautiful and somehow delicate in all it's blinged out glory.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and topcoat for a smooth to the touch finish.
