Vegas Duo; Anonymous Lacquer & Ever After Polish

Evening beauties!  I'm settled in for the night and watching Stranger Things, do you watch that show?  The few episodes I've seen so far are very suspenseful!  Anywho, since I can't sit and focus on any one thing at a time I decided to share a late night post with you.  Well sadly I didn't get around to this one in time, it was made available while I was on vacation, and now it's sold out.  I have no idea if the duo will be made again.  Sorry!  But the details about this duo are; it's called the Vegas Duo and has a polish from Ever After Polish and Anonymous Lacquer.  It was from Cocktails & Colors in Vegas.  It was $20.  If you're a fan of these brands and missed out then my fingers are crossed for you that this duo makes a return!  Let's check out the duo!

CosmoProf North America 2016: Nail Product Coverage

Good morning lovelies!  I'm sure you all know that CosmoProf North America was held in Las Vegas this past July.  This is a huge beauty convention with loads of very well known companies, smaller companies and brand spanking new companies trying to break out on the scene.  It's a 3-day event, and you definitely need at least 2 days to see everything and attend all the parties.  CPNA fell on a later date than it usually does so it wasn't really great with my personal schedule, and I was only able to go in for a day and a few hours the following morning.  But I saw a ton and have lots to share with you!  I decided to split my pictures up into 2 posts, nail brands and beauty brands.  I'll start with nail since that's kind of my thing.  I hope you like my coverage of the event!

Cocktails & Colors 2016; Event Coverage

Hello lovelies.  As you know many nail polish ladies (blogger, makers, stockiest) made their way to Las Vegas recently for the CosmoProf North American convention.  Luckily I got to return for a 3rd year and tour the convention floor (posts coming this week) and visit with some of my favorite people.  The hostesses with the mostesses; Sara from Cupcake Polish, Missi from Different Dimension and Jill from Glisten & Gow put on an quite a shin dig.  First I just want to thank those 3 ladies for putting together such a nice party.  Truthfully, this is the most fun event of all the after parties because it's a total who's who of the indie polish world.  Putting faces to names, meeting makers you've only talked to online, catching up with old friends.  It's always a fun time.  Unfortunately I had under 2 hours to speed through the event this year as it was also my hubby and I's 12th anniversary and we had dinner reservations to get to.  I did my best to meet with all the makers displayed and chat with them as well as spend time with some of the other ladies.  So let's take look at what the Cocktails & Colors event was all about!  *apologies to Ever After, it was the only booth I was unable to circulate to so I sadly didn't get to meet and greet with Rachel in person and have no picture to share in this post*

The first thing I saw in the event room was this awesome display of pink, white and purple cupcakes. They looked delish!

Cuccio Royale Collection, Fall 2015

Good morning friends!  I've got a good and somewhat lengthy post for you today.  Way back when I was having the time of my life in Las Vegas and rubbing elbows with all the nail polish peeps, I got to meet some lovely folks representing the Cuccio brand.  Now I knew this brand already because I am a fan of their body butters and cuticle sticks.  I also knew they made polish because I'd seen a few of their gels in my local beauty supply store.  Well what I wasn't expecting was to see this (and another) stunning collection displayed at the Tips & Sips event!  The Royale Collection is Cuccio's answer to the Fall season and it's pretty dang perfect!  Rich cremes, shimmery jewel tones and even a multichrome!  While browsing around the Cuccio website I wasn't able to find this collection, but I did see it available on HB Beauty Bar for $8.50 each.  But keep checking the Cuccio website because I'm sure the Royale collection will be available soon.

This is a long post so I'll try to keep each individual blurb short and sweet.  This is Count Me In, a smokey, purple creme.  The formula was creamy and buttery.  I had full coverage in 1 coat of Count Me In.  No topcoat used.

Emerald & Ash Your Face

Good evening!  Making the most of my "sittingin the car at the field waiting for my son to finish soccer practice" time.  Thank goodness for DVD players in cars (my other littles are watching a movie while I blog!).  I HAD to share this with you NOW (sorry for yelling) because in a couple hours you too can own this fabulous shimmery-shifty matte topper!  Ok, ok so here's the details about this polish.  Your Face was an exclusive polish for the Las Vegas Cocktail & Colors event but Ashely and Nate decided to let everyone else get in on the fun too!  And tonight is their grand re-opening with lots of new cuticle oil scents (YAS), Period Poops is making a full time comeback and Your Face will be released.  The shop opens at 7pm MST so get your wallet ready!  Your Face will be available in 2 sizes; 10ml for $7.00 and 15ml for $9.00.  So let's jump in and check this beauty out!

Emerald & Ash: ShopFacebookInstagramTwitter

Here is Your Face!  First off I love that this is one of Ashley & Nate's inside jokes and they turned it into a polish.  If you've met them in person you know how adorable they are together and I can totally picture them saying this to each other.  Your Face is a "versatile topcoat filled with color shifting shimmer and flakes that can be applied over another polish to create a beautiful shimmering matte look."  This is so lovely and it's matte!  I'm super into matte right now so huge bonus points!  The formula and application were both fabulous.  1 easy coat over the base colors I chose and I have full coverage.  Your Face dries quickly too!  The first pictures are of Your Face over a deep emerald green creme.

Here's what Your Face looks like with a shiny topcoat.  The green and purple flakes really pop and the shifting colors are more noticeable this way.

Emerald & Ash Your Face

Finally, I grabbed a few macros of Your Face over different base colors.  I tried Your Face over a red creme, a purple jelly and a blue creme.  Different elements of Your Face are more prominent over different base colors so if you pick up a bottle make sure you try it over a few bases to find the one you love the most!  In my opinion they are all equally gorgeous!

CosmoProf North America: Morgan Taylor

Good evening.  I haven't posted in a while since I went out of town for Labor Day weekend (ok more like a 5 day weekend), so I thought I'd throw something up for you to browse through.  I'm almost done posting coverage from CosmoProf North America.  Are you tired or reading it yet?  Are you ready for me to start sharing polish that I have from these amazing booths I visited?  I'll start sharing those in the next week or two so hang on to your britches.  Tonights post is all about Morgan Taylor...they shared so much with me that I felt they deserved a dedicated post!  Lots of exciting collections coming up so let's jump in and check them out!

First off let me say how cool it was to meet both of the lovely ladies behind Morgan Taylor.  I'm 100% positive they are younger than me and super geniuses in the nail polish world!  Let's start with Fall 2015 - Ubran Cowgirl.  Think urban city girl meets country and viola - Urban Cowgirl.  Along with the 6 piece collection there are also perfect match duos of a polish and a Gelish called Two of A Kind.  And as you can see from the picture below the entire Urban Cowgirl collection is available in the Gelish line up.  This collection is available on the shelves now.

There's another collection for October....ROCKY HORROR ya'll!  This 4 piece collection is not only for Halloween but also to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rocky Horror Picture Show.  The colors are classics; red, white and black.  The 4th shade is a limited edition glow in the dark polish that will also be available in full size.  There will also be the Two Of A Kind polish/Gelish duos available.

Of course there's a holiday collection!  Morgan Taylor's theme for this holiday season is Gifted With style.  These are a bit darker to be traditional holiday shades but they are gorgeous.  Shimmers, micro glitters, true subtle sophistication.  There are 6 shades in this collection, a mini pack and a gift with purchase!

Here are some of the gifts that will be available - a luggage tag, a cosmetic bag and a bracelet!

Red Matters is a Gelish collection that is inspired by old Hollywood.  It's a collection of 6 red cremes and 3 fine glitters.  There will be Two Of A Kind duos available for this set as well as Gelish gift packs.

All the gifts are really nice - check out the socks and mug!

My favorite is this set of nail art brushes with loose crystals in the handle!  So pretty!  I will be scouring my beauty supply stores for this gift!

Finally, Morgan Taylor is getting some serious brand awareness! They were on tour with One Direction - playing videos and reaching out to polish lovers!

CosmoProf 2015: Morgan Taylor

Morgan Taylor will release a King Fu Panda 3 collection!  How cool is that!?  Their inspiration is May May, the newest, diva character in the movie.  There will be both Morgan Taylor and Gelish colors.  This collection should be hitting shelves in January.

CosmoProf North America: ella + mila, Impala, Leighton Denny & Faby Coverage

Hey hey!  Yup, I still have more posts from CosmoProf to share with you.  Can you even believe how much stuff I saw in 1.5 days!?  It's insane!  I definitely have 1 more post featuring nail polish, but I am debating a short post to share a few of the beauty products I saw also.  I was also hoping for some feedback - are you interested in seeing coverage from the Tips & Sips and Cocktails & Colors after parties?  I have plenty of pictures that I can share!  It's just a matter of finding the time to write up 4 more posts!  While I mull it over why don't we delve into today's post.  I have 4 brands to share, 3 of which are new to me and one is a tried and true Brazilian favorite!  So let's go!

ella + mila is a newer brand on the scene and I (much like others) have come to recognize the brand by the cute little elephant on the bottles.  This is a 5-free, vegan, cruelty-free, USA made brand.  Their launch product was the Mommy & Me line, which was a duo of regular and mini sized polishes.

Now ella + mila has over 80 colors in their line up and 7 collections.  Here's a peek at their selection!

There is also a nail treatment line: base and top coats, cuticle oil, primer and a soy polish remover.  The remover just launched last month.  ella + mila is available online, at Color4Nails, in Anthropologie stores and boutique salons.  Definitely a brand that's worth seeking out!  I have a very pretty neutral grey creme to share with you so be on the watch for that post!

I was pretty darn excited that I came across Impala at the convention.  I didn't see their name in the list of booths.  If you don't know Mundial Impala, they are a pretty fabulous brand that hails from Brazil.  Impala had 3 new collections for us to view...the first is Plumy, 3 glitter topper polishes that give off a "feathered" effect.  While these aren't a new concept here in the states, it could very well be in other parts of the world.  I am a big fan of the bar glitter polish so I am happy to see that brands are still making them.

And this one reminds me of Valentine's Day!

My Secrets is another one of the new collections.  It consists of 5 creme shades with an iridescent, shimmery effects topper to wear over them all.

The last collection at the booth was Encanto Natural...5 gorgeous shades in softer colors, some pastels, that was released a few months ago.  This collection will be perfect for the Spring and Summer months.  You can pick up Impala at Ricky's NYC and Amazon.

CosmoProf 2015: Mundial Impala

Another international brand that I checked out was Leighton Denny, from the UK.  I had only heard of this brand once or twice before hitting them up at the convention but I was definitely impressed with their set up and variety of polishes available.  I like their unique bottles too...check them out.

Leighton Denny has 40 core colors that are available.

CosmoProf 2015: Leighton Denny

There is a new 5ml mini sized bottle, they are pretty cute!

Here's the new collection for the Fall, Autumn Goddess.  I was very drooly over these colors.  I need to find a way to get these pretty babies in my grabby hands right about now (damn Royal Mail).

Top That is a true gel system.  You need a lamp to cure the Top That topcoat.  You can purchase the lamp in the picture directly from Leighton Denny and though I have no clue what is good quality or not because I know noticing of gel polish, they assured me this lamp is very high quality.

And finally I have Faby USA!  This is an Italian brand that's been around for 3 years, but they have been available in the US for a year.  Faby is based in Milan and the collections are on trend with the current fashion.  Faby has over 300 colors with a pro-grade formula and a 400 bristle brush.  The caps are also very professional...tapered and textured.  Aside form polish Faby is also releasing a spa line.  They contain Manuka and Moringa oils.  There will be a great scrub coming out: bamboo and wanut husk - it's paraben and cruelty free.  Faby is available online and on Amazon.

Here's a sneak peek of the Illusion collection for the Fall/Winter.

CosmoProf 2015: Faby USA

CosmoProf 2015: Faby USA

This was the Summer 2015 line up.  I like the mix of bright and dark color.

CosmoProf 2015: Faby USA

Faby has a gel line but it's only available for professional purchase/use.

CosmoProf 2015: Faby USA

They released a Breast Cancer Awareness shade - what a perfect pink!

Faby Nature is a naturally derived collection.  These are natural colors that contain minerals and natural pigments as colorants.   Actually it's made of 87% natural ingredients!
