Morning lovelies.  Hope your Thursday is going well so far.  It's almost Friday...hang in there!  My Friday will be crazy.  Teacher In-Service day so the little monsters will be with me.  Hehe.  I actually have plans to hit up the doctors office for flu shots and then I'll take them to the the pumpkin patch.  But to bring us back to today's post, I have another new to e brand to share, Joy Lacquer.  Joy is another maker I was happy to meet at Cocktails & Colors.  She was lovely to talk to, and she's got some fabulous products (you NEED to check out that Gummy Bear Soap..it's everything!).  I have 2 beautiful polishes to share with you...Crocodile Tears and Enchanted Pixie.  They're both listed in the shop right now but only Crocodile Tears is available.  Let's jump in and check them out!

I, A.M...CustomColor; Tahiti Sauce, Anubis, CRABS

Afternoon dears!  How's your week going?  Mine seems to be flying by pretty darn fast!  Yesterday was quite a busy day but I got a ton done.  So today I can sit back and relax a little.  Hehe, like that's ever really a possibility.  Actually I just got home from a nice, hilly 4-mie run.  Other than that I'm still plugging along, playing catch up and sharing posts.  You know I like when I get to share a new to me brand and that's what I've got for you today!  I, A.M...CustomColor isn't a new brand, and I've been stalking the brand for a while now!  And lucky me, I got to meet Ashlie, the super awesome gal behind the brand.  Seriously though, she's outgoing and fun to talk to and I'm so glad I got to meet her.  And glad that I finally got to try her brand!  So I'll tell you about each polish when I get to them. Let's get to it!

Powder Perfect Egyptology Collection; Ra & Weighing the Heart

Howdy howdy dears!  Popping in with another post to share with you.  Powder Perfect launched her Egyptology collection back in late August and I have a couple of the polishes to share with you.  I actually got to meet Jacinta at Cocktails and Colors in Las Vegas, what a doll she is!  And he makes some killer polish.  She also has some pretty amazing stamping plates too!  The Egyptology collection is inspired by the sands and pyramids, the mystery that surrounds Egypt.  I've always been fascinated with Egypt and would love to go see the pyramids, so this collection really grabbed my attention.  The Egyptology collection features a unique hybrid formula called holo-twist.  It's a fine microglitter polish crossed with holo lacquer for a smooth finish.  The Egyptology collection is available now for $13 AUD/USD.

Lou It Yourself Booze And Bad Decisions

Good evening dolls.  I know, this late night post thing is becoming a habit.  But let me tell you, I played taxi mom all afternoon.  Literally from 3:30 to 7:30.  So it's the first chance I've had to sit down and get on the computer.  Last night I shared polish that was no longer available for purchase and tonight I'm doing it again.  SORRY!  Again, this was put up for sale while I was away on vacation and I actually had no literature saying when it was going to be sold so it was a surprise to me.  Of course it sold out right away.  Booze And Bad Decisions from Lou It Yourself was in the sample bag from Cocktails & Colors.   While you can't get this particular color there are lots of great polishes in the shop.  And the new Fall collection is coming up on 9/9, I've seen some sneak peeks swatches and they're gorgeous!  Watch ehmkay nails for her swatches coming shortly.  So let's jump in and check out Booze And Bad Decisions.

Cocktails & Colors 2016; Event Coverage

Hello lovelies.  As you know many nail polish ladies (blogger, makers, stockiest) made their way to Las Vegas recently for the CosmoProf North American convention.  Luckily I got to return for a 3rd year and tour the convention floor (posts coming this week) and visit with some of my favorite people.  The hostesses with the mostesses; Sara from Cupcake Polish, Missi from Different Dimension and Jill from Glisten & Gow put on an quite a shin dig.  First I just want to thank those 3 ladies for putting together such a nice party.  Truthfully, this is the most fun event of all the after parties because it's a total who's who of the indie polish world.  Putting faces to names, meeting makers you've only talked to online, catching up with old friends.  It's always a fun time.  Unfortunately I had under 2 hours to speed through the event this year as it was also my hubby and I's 12th anniversary and we had dinner reservations to get to.  I did my best to meet with all the makers displayed and chat with them as well as spend time with some of the other ladies.  So let's take look at what the Cocktails & Colors event was all about!  *apologies to Ever After, it was the only booth I was unable to circulate to so I sadly didn't get to meet and greet with Rachel in person and have no picture to share in this post*

The first thing I saw in the event room was this awesome display of pink, white and purple cupcakes. They looked delish!

Northern Star Polish Mermaid Dreams

Good evening friends!  I had an very nice non-eventful day.  Got my hair done, did a little shopping.  I guess the only thing that could have gone better was I found this adorable pair of boots and they didn't have them in my size, nor did any of the other stores in my area so big old pouty face.  Guess it wasn't meant to be.  So while I pine over those boots you can take a look at this lovely polish from Northern Star Polish!  I believe Mermaid Dreams was made as an exclusive for the Cocktails & Colors event in Las Vegas, but I'm not positive so don't hold me to that.  Anyways, it's definitely not a polish currently in the shop but there are other colors and cuticle oils for your shopping enjoyment!  So let's go ahead and jump in to check out Mermaid Dreams!

Fair Maiden Polish Just A Mirage

Hello late night post!  Well not late night for me here in California, but it is for you East Coasters!  But it's Thursday night, you might be up, ready to enjoy the weekend starting with a lax day at work tomorrow.  So I figured I'd share a post while I take a break from my never ending quest to clean my house and do laundry.  I swear I could use a second me right about now.  But if I had a second me I'd have to share my nail polish collection and it would be especially difficult to do with gorgeous colors like this exclusive from Fair Maiden Polish.  This beauty hails from Cocktail & Colors, the indie polish event that was in Las Vegas over the CosmoProf Convention weekend.  I am bummed that I didn't meet the gals behind this brand in person, but I am so happy I was able to try out this polish!  I have only tried one Fair Maiden before and it was super gorgey.  This one though?  It's absolutely drool worthy.  While this one isn't available for purchase I do suggest you head over to the shop to see what other polishes tickle your fancy!  So get your droll bucket or towel ready and let's jump in and see what we've got on our plate.

Emerald & Ash Your Face

Good evening!  Making the most of my "sittingin the car at the field waiting for my son to finish soccer practice" time.  Thank goodness for DVD players in cars (my other littles are watching a movie while I blog!).  I HAD to share this with you NOW (sorry for yelling) because in a couple hours you too can own this fabulous shimmery-shifty matte topper!  Ok, ok so here's the details about this polish.  Your Face was an exclusive polish for the Las Vegas Cocktail & Colors event but Ashely and Nate decided to let everyone else get in on the fun too!  And tonight is their grand re-opening with lots of new cuticle oil scents (YAS), Period Poops is making a full time comeback and Your Face will be released.  The shop opens at 7pm MST so get your wallet ready!  Your Face will be available in 2 sizes; 10ml for $7.00 and 15ml for $9.00.  So let's jump in and check this beauty out!

Here is Your Face!  First off I love that this is one of Ashley & Nate's inside jokes and they turned it into a polish.  If you've met them in person you know how adorable they are together and I can totally picture them saying this to each other.  Your Face is a "versatile topcoat filled with color shifting shimmer and flakes that can be applied over another polish to create a beautiful shimmering matte look."  This is so lovely and it's matte!  I'm super into matte right now so huge bonus points!  The formula and application were both fabulous.  1 easy coat over the base colors I chose and I have full coverage.  Your Face dries quickly too!  The first pictures are of Your Face over a deep emerald green creme.

Here's what Your Face looks like with a shiny topcoat.  The green and purple flakes really pop and the shifting colors are more noticeable this way.

Emerald & Ash Your Face

Finally, I grabbed a few macros of Your Face over different base colors.  I tried Your Face over a red creme, a purple jelly and a blue creme.  Different elements of Your Face are more prominent over different base colors so if you pick up a bottle make sure you try it over a few bases to find the one you love the most!  In my opinion they are all equally gorgeous!

Bliss Polish Freestyle Summer (partial collection review)

Hullo hullo!  I'm hustling butt to get all these Summer shade polishes shared with you because if you are like me once it rolls over to September I am in Fall mode!  So today I wanted to share a new-to-me brand, Bliss Polish.  Bliss is not new by any means to the indie polish world.  I know I've seen the around for a long while now but it's the first chance I've had to try Bliss!  I was lucky to bump into Yvette on my way out of the Cocktails & Colors event in Las Vegas and she was so very nice and happy!  Bliss Polish first came on my radar with creme polish, but the shop is stocked full of a plethora of finishes and colors!  I am happy to share 2 holos from the Freestyle Summer Collection.  These are still available and are $9 each.  Let's jump in and see these beauties!

Lookout Weekend is a loose linear neon pink holo.  Love the color, it's vibrant and very girly.  Like valley girl girly!  The formula was a bit sheer but it built up nicely and I ended up with full coverage. The application was great!  I used 3 coats of Lookout Weekend and no topcoat.

The other I received was Come Go With Me.  I'm so happy that the pink and orange were the 2 I happened to receive because they are really my weakness colors.  I can't get enough of them, they really just make me smile!  Come Go With Me is a lose linear holo, tangerine orange shade.  The formula was the same as the last, a little sheer to start but built up great with no application issues to mention.  I used 3 coats of Come Go With Me and no topcoat.

As I mentioned I had 3 of the 5 piece collection to show you.  Up first is this amazing hot pink called Folies Bergere.  You can really see the gorgeous holo and the silver flakies!  You know I love me some Cupcakes and these were totally on point!  Formula and application were both can-can leg-kicking fantastic.  Very opaque and full coverage.  Man I love how easy Sara's polishes are to use - they practically apply themselves!  I used 2 coats of Folies Bergere and finished with a layer of topcoat.

The next one I have is Bluebell Girls.  Let me first apologize because I could not for the life of me get this color right.  Even a little color editing still couldn't nail it down.  The IRL (in real life) shade is a lighter neon aqua shade - it's showing a darker blue in my pictures.  But despite my failure at catching the shade, I think you can still tell how gorgeous this polish is!  Another linear holo with silver flakies.  Formula and application were purrrrrrrfect (that's exactly what my notes say).  I used 2 coats of Bluebell Girls for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.

I love pink and aqua as much as the next girl, BUT this is the one that had me all twitterpated.  My heart really does belong to the darker shades - they just make me feel super sexy and Lido de Paris is SEXAY!  It's a steely grey - so dark it's darn near black.  It's full of those fabulous silver flakies.  I really don't know what else to say about this one.  If I were to suggest 1 for you to buy this is is.  Lido de Paris is all that and a bag of chips AND a milkshake.  I used 2 coats of Lido de Paris for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.
