Stella Chroma November Polish Pick Up Exclusive: Breaker of Chains

Evening beauties!  Well, Halloween is behind us.  That means we will now have Christmas shoved down our throats for the next 2 months.  Don't get me wrong, I like Christmas, but I think we have lost sight of what Christmas means.  It's turned into who can out do the next person with grandiose gifts and over the top decorations and activities for the kids.  I'm a super busy mom with 3 very active kids.  I'm lucky if I remember to hide that damn elf every night, I don't need to worry about dusting footprints and making messes with toilet paper.  I just want to enjoy time with my family and not worry about all that other stuff.  LOL, ok now that you know my opinion on the upcoming holiday let's talk about the exciting Polish Pickup for November.  It's "Fandom" themed so pretty much anything goes.  You can buy your favorites from 11/3-11/6.  Stella Chroma was inspired by Game of Thrones with her polish and you can purchase it for $12 during the sale period.  Let's jump in and I'll tell you more about Breaker of Chains!

Lou It Yourself Booze And Bad Decisions

Good evening dolls.  I know, this late night post thing is becoming a habit.  But let me tell you, I played taxi mom all afternoon.  Literally from 3:30 to 7:30.  So it's the first chance I've had to sit down and get on the computer.  Last night I shared polish that was no longer available for purchase and tonight I'm doing it again.  SORRY!  Again, this was put up for sale while I was away on vacation and I actually had no literature saying when it was going to be sold so it was a surprise to me.  Of course it sold out right away.  Booze And Bad Decisions from Lou It Yourself was in the sample bag from Cocktails & Colors.   While you can't get this particular color there are lots of great polishes in the shop.  And the new Fall collection is coming up on 9/9, I've seen some sneak peeks swatches and they're gorgeous!  Watch ehmkay nails for her swatches coming shortly.  So let's jump in and check out Booze And Bad Decisions.

As I mentioned I had 3 of the 5 piece collection to show you.  Up first is this amazing hot pink called Folies Bergere.  You can really see the gorgeous holo and the silver flakies!  You know I love me some Cupcakes and these were totally on point!  Formula and application were both can-can leg-kicking fantastic.  Very opaque and full coverage.  Man I love how easy Sara's polishes are to use - they practically apply themselves!  I used 2 coats of Folies Bergere and finished with a layer of topcoat.

The next one I have is Bluebell Girls.  Let me first apologize because I could not for the life of me get this color right.  Even a little color editing still couldn't nail it down.  The IRL (in real life) shade is a lighter neon aqua shade - it's showing a darker blue in my pictures.  But despite my failure at catching the shade, I think you can still tell how gorgeous this polish is!  Another linear holo with silver flakies.  Formula and application were purrrrrrrfect (that's exactly what my notes say).  I used 2 coats of Bluebell Girls for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.

I love pink and aqua as much as the next girl, BUT this is the one that had me all twitterpated.  My heart really does belong to the darker shades - they just make me feel super sexy and Lido de Paris is SEXAY!  It's a steely grey - so dark it's darn near black.  It's full of those fabulous silver flakies.  I really don't know what else to say about this one.  If I were to suggest 1 for you to buy this is is.  Lido de Paris is all that and a bag of chips AND a milkshake.  I used 2 coats of Lido de Paris for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.

Pahlish An Caisteal Ruadh

Good morning!  I am absolutely feeling in the Fall spirit.  I just can't get enough of these deep red, maroon and burgundy shades.  So I suspect you'll be seeing lots of them soon and for a while as I usually wear them all winter long.  So let's start off my total red infatuation with a post featuring a stunning Pahlish from the Royal Reverie Collection.  I'm not sure if Shannon is going to restock this one anymore but it's currently still listed on the site for $9 (but SOLD OUT).  Be sure to check on Friday at 5pm PDT when she restocks the shop.

An Caisteal Ruadh , which means "RedCastle in Scottish Gaelic" is an "oxblood red jelly with a mix of gold and silver flakes and copper shimmer."  It's inspired by the deep brick red colors of the castle.  The color, finish, shimmer, flakies...all complete perfection together.  The formula and application were both fantastic.  It covered superbly well for a jelly and I reached full coverage after 2 coats of An Caisteal Ruadh.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat to keep the glossy finish.
