Good morning! Look at me, 2 posts in a row. Who am I? Haha. Well I have some gorgeous drugstore polishes to share with you today and you know what, I totally dig them all. But what I dig most is that they are so easily accessible. I used to drugstore polish shop very frequently, but my kids schedules took over my life and I spend a lot of time at the schools so that kind of killed that fun outing for me. But it doesn't mean you can enjoy perusing the aisles of Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS or even Target to see what types of polishes they have on the shelves! Aside from appreciating the ease of shopping for Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, I also like that you can coupon and save money on them most of the time. Even if not you aren't breaking the bank with a huge price tag. The Sunset Splash Collection consists of 6 shades that are absolutely perfect for the end of Summer, start of Fall! Let's jump in and see what Sally has in store for us!
Metro Midnight is a soft purple scattered holo. This color is lovely, albeit not extremely unique for a holo these days. But the formula was really nice. It was creme and opaque in 3 thin coats. I could have used 2 coats, but went with the 3rd to ensure all my nail line was covered up. Finished up with a layer of Miracle Gel Topcoat.
The last shade I was sent to review is my favorite, Sundown Socialite. It's a gorgeous, shimmery coral red to bronzey gold duo chrome. I mean you could say there is some pink and orange in there too so it's possibly a multichrome. Formula and application were both great. No complaints. I used 3 thin coats to cover up all visible nail line and finished with Miracle Gel Topcoat.
