Celestial Cosmetics & Color4Nails: The Seven Kingdoms Collection

Good morning!  Sorry for not posting very frequently this month!  I've been working on swatches, pictures and reviews every day!  I'm a busy little bee.  But I'm here now with a very awesome collection to share!  Sisi from Color4Nails has partnered up with Celestial Cosmetics to create a collection inspired by Game of Thrones.  It's called The Seven Kingdoms Collection and it's full of awesome holos, thermals and duochromes.  These will be available to purchase at the Color4Nails website TOMORROW (10/15).  You can also follow Color4Nails on Facebook and Instagram (color4nails) for promos and updates on stock.  Celestial also has a website, Facebook and Instagram (celestialcosmetics).  I have lots to show you so lets jump right in!

Up first I have Little Finger.  It's a lovely holographic thermal changing polish.  When warm it's a demure cornflower blue that changes to a beautiful royal purple when cold.  I used 3 coats to get complete coverage and had no problems with the application.  The color shift happened easily with temperature change.  I love the combination of the scattered holo with the purple and blue colors.  This is a really pretty polish.

Here we have A Lannister Always Pays His Debt.  This is another thermal polish that starts as a dusty pale yellow that shifts to medium orange color.  It has a sheer jelly formula with holo sparkles.  It is a very pretty polish but it was not my favorite of the bunch.  I had difficulties with the application and couldn't get it to change color despite my best efforts.  I found the formula a bit thick and goopy and it had a very long dry time.  I tried using 3 - 4 coats and still have visible nail line.  The pictures below show 1 coat of ALAPHD over 2 coats of Sinful Colors Unicorn and it looks alright this way.  But even layered I could not get it to change color.

This is High Garden.  It's another thermal polish with pretty holo sparkles.  High Garden starts out as a bright lime green when warm that changes to a lush grassy green when cold.  I loved the color combination on this one.  I used 2 coats but will use 3 next time I wear it to completely cover any visible nail line.  I didn't have any issues with the formula or application on High Garden, everything was smooth sailing here.

Now we move into the duochromes.  I was quit happy to play with these next 2 because I don't really have any duochrome polish in my collection (gasp!).  Jaqen H'ghar is a lovely purple polish that shows reddish, violet and brown tones as you move your hand and use different lighting.  The formula was really lovely and easy to work with.  Application was great.  I used 3 coats for full coverage.

I saved the best for last.  This duochrome beauty is King Slayer.  It's gorgeous and if you pick up any polish from this collection this would be my top recommendation.  King Slayer is an inky eggplant blurple duochorome that at times reads navy and others very deep purple.  The shimmer in this polish helps with the overall effect and color shitfting (my favorite picture is the last oneso glossy and gorgeous).  Formula and application on King Slayer were both wonderful with no issues to discuss.  I used 2 coats for full coverage.
