The Original Tangle Teezer

Good morning!  I have a post featuring a non-polish product today.  I've been using the Tangle Teezer  brush for about a month now, on myself and my daughter and it's like a miracle product - especially for my daughter.  I've used Naomi as a model in this post so you'll see how this ingenious brush works to loosen even the messiest hair.  The Original Tangle Teezer is a UK brand but can be found at many US locations including Sephora, Target, Amazon and a few other shops!  This line of brushes range from $8 to $20.

Let me start this review with a little story.  About a year ago some of my friends were raving about how easy it was brushing out unruly hair with the Tangle Teezer.  I had never heard of it and asked for a picture.  It looked like an interesting product and I wanted to try it out.  When on a vacation recently after that I realized I didn't have a brush, headed to the local drug store and saw a knock off version so I bought it.  My daughter hated it.  She always complained that it burn her head and would specifically tell me not to brush the top of her head.  So I stopped using it.  I now have The Original Tangle Teezer and it's such a high quality product that's made well, Naomi loves it and brushes her own hair with it!

So let's look at this brush.  The Original Tangle Teezer is the ultimate detangling brush.  It "glides through wet and dry hair with no pulling, tugging or yanking."  The ergonomic shape makes it easy to hold.  The bristles are a firm but soft, flexible plastic.  The bristles do not hurt when you brush, it actually feels like a scalp massage.

Here's my daughter, Naomi.  Her hair is a mixture of wavy, curly and straight.  It's long and all over the place.  She never lets me put it in a pony tail or pull it off her face or neck.  She likes it down and wild.  But that also means she always has knots and tangles, food and grime in her hair.  I am showing pictures of her with damp hair.  The Original Tangle Teezer makes easy work of this mop of hair on Naomi's head.  Wet or dry I am able to gently pull the brush through and her hair looks so pretty and shiny afterwards.  Naomi never complains that the bristles hurt and she actually looks for The Original Tangle Teezer when she wants me to brush her hair!  So what can I say?  Naomi and I are both coverts!  Give us a Tangle Teezer over a regular brush any day!
